Aspirants belonging to the General or OBC Category will have to pay an amount of Rs. 850 +18% GST and candidates from ST/SC/PWD/EXS categories will be charged Rs. 100 +18% GST for the final submission of the application form.

RBI Grade B Educational Qualification

Given below are the educational qualification requirements to apply for the RBI Grade B Notification.  

Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR)–(General)

Minimum 60% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/PwBD) or an equivalent grade in Bachelor’s degree as well as in 12th (or Diploma or equivalent) and 10th Standard examinations. The minimum qualifying percentage or an equivalent grade for the Bachelor’s degree will be in aggregate for all semesters/years

Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR)–DEPR

Master’s Degree in Economics / Econometrics / Quantitative Economics / Mathematical Economics / Integrated Economics Course/ Finance, with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters /years from a recognized Indian or Foreign University /Institute; OR PGDM/ MBA Finance with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters /years from a recognized Indian or Foreign University /Institute; OR Master’s Degree in Economics in any of the sub-categories of economics i.e. agricultural/ business/ developmental/ applied, etc., with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters /years from a recognized Indian or Foreign University /Institute.

Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR)–DSIM

Master’s Degree in Statistics/ Mathematical Statistics/ Mathematical Economics/ Econometrics/ Statistics & Informatics from IIT-Kharagpur/ Applied Statistics & Informatics from IIT-Bombay with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade (aggregate of all semesters/years) OR Master’s Degree in Mathematics with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters/years and a one-year postgraduate diploma in Statistics or related subjects from a reputed Institute OR M. Stat. Degree of Indian Statistical Institute with a minimum of 55% marks (aggregate of all semesters/years) OR Post Graduate Diploma in Business Analytics (PGDBA) jointly offered by ISI Kolkata, IIT Kharagpur, and IIM Calcutta with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters/years.

RBI Grade B Age Limit

• Minimum age limit: 21 years
• Maximum age limit: 30 years

Age Relaxation is as per Govt. norms as given below:

RBI Grade B Nationality

• Citizen of India
• The subject of Nepal or Bhutan
• A Tibetan refugee who is permanently settled in India before January 1, 1962
• Person of Indian origin who has migrated from either Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam intending to reside permanently in India.

RBI Grade B Number of Attempts

The RBI specifies the number of attempts for each category. For General Category candidates, number of attempts allowed is 6 and that for SC/ST/OBC/PWD Candidates there is no bar. 

RBI Grade B Selection Process 2024

The whole RBI Grade B Selection Process 2024 has been divided into three phases. The phases are listed below.

• Phase I: Online Mode, 120 Minutes, Negative Marking of 1/4 Mark on each wrong answer, Maximum attempts: 6 for UR Category
• Phase II: Paper 1 (Economic & Social Issues), Paper 2 (English), Paper 3 (Finance & Management)

Starting basic pay of RBI Grade B Salary is ₹55,200/-p.m. in the pay scale of ₹55200-2850(9)-80850-EB-2850 (2) – 86550-3300(4)-99750 (16 years). At present, initial monthly gross emoluments (without HRA) are Rs. 1,16,914/- (approximately) The House Rent Allowance of 15% of Basic Pay will be paid, if accommodation is not provided by the Bank. RBI Grade B 2024 salary is a special attraction for candidates. RBI Grade B Phase I

The total number of questions in the RBI Grade B officer exam consists of 200 questions for total marks of 200 from various sections such as English Language, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning. A time limit of 120 minutes, or 2 hours will be allocated to complete the exam. There is a negative marking and 0.25 Marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
