How to Apply for IBPS PO 2025
The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has activated the online application link for the IBPS PO/MT-XV recruitment. Interested and eligible candidates must submit their applications through the official website within the stipulated dates. The entire process, including registration, document upload, and fee payment, is to be completed online.
- Visit www.ibps.in → Click on “CRP PO/MT” → “Apply Online for CRP-PO/MT-XV”.
- Click on “New Registration” and enter basic details. A provisional registration number & password will be generated.
- Upload required documents:
- Photograph
- Signature
- Left thumb impression
- Handwritten declaration
- 10th certificate
- Category certificate (if applicable)
- Live photo capture (webcam/mobile)
- Verify all details carefully before clicking “Complete Registration”. Use “Save & Next” to review.
- Payment must be done online only via Debit/Credit Card, Net Banking, UPI, etc.

IBPS PO Notification 2025 Application Fees
The IBPS PO Application fee must be paid online while filling out the IBPS PO form. Once paid, the application fee will not be refunded under any condition, and it cannot be used for any other exam or recruitment process. Changes Introduced in IBPS PO Exam 2025
The IBPS CRP-XV (2025) notification introduces several notable changes in the recruitment process for Probationary Officers. These modifications reflect IBPS’s focus on refining the evaluation process, improving transparency, and aligning with regulatory requirements. Candidates preparing for the exam must take note of these updates to adapt their preparation strategy and documentation accordingly. Key Changes in IBPS CRP-XV 2025:
Personality Test Introduced: A new stage has been added after the interview round to assess behavioural and leadership qualities.
Exam Timeline Preponed: All major events, including registration, prelims, and mains, have been shifted ahead by approximately one month.
Prelims Marks Reshuffled: Revised mark distribution between Reasoning Ability and Quantitative Aptitude sections.
Detailed Pay Structure Added: The notification now clearly states the pay scale and CTC details at the entry level.
Mandatory Aadhaar Authentication: Identity verification will be conducted via Aadhaar Yes/No or e-KYC authentication.
PwBD Certificate Rule Updated: Temporary PwBD certificates are no longer valid for claiming reservation benefits.
IBPS PO Eligibility Criteria 2025
To be eligible for IBPS PO Recruitment 2025, candidates must meet the following conditions:
Educational Qualification: A graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised university or equivalent qualification as recognised by the Central Government. Final-year students are not eligible unless their result is declared on or before the last date of registration.
Age Limit: Candidates must be between 20 and 30 years old as of 1 July 2025. Age relaxation applies to reserved categories: 3 years for OBC, 5 years for SC/ST, and 10 years for PwBD candidates.
Nationality: Must be an Indian citizen, or a subject of Nepal/Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of permanent settlement.
IBPS PO Recruitment 2025 Selection Process
The selection process includes three stages: Prelims, Mains, and Interview, and candidates must qualify each stage to be considered for final selection. The selection process for the IBPS PO Recruitment 2025 is given below:
1. Preliminary Exam:
This is the first stage and IBPS PO 2025 exam which will be held in August 2025 and the prelims exam will be of 100 marks and it is to test the basic reasoning, math and English skills of the candidates. It is only a qualifying round. There are no sectional cut-offs included, but the candidates must to score well overall to move to the next stage.
2. Main Exam:
Candidates who pass the prelims exam will appear for the mains exam which will be held on 12 October 2025. This stage is more detailed and includes both objective tests (200 marks) and a descriptive paper (25 marks) where the candidate has to write an essay and letter. Candidates performance in this stage will carry a lot of weightage in the final selection.
3. Interview:
Candidates who are shortlisted will be called for a personal interview, which will be held in November or December 2025. The interview will be of 100 marks and will test the candidates communication skills, confidence, and general awareness about banking. To qualify candidates need to score at least 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates).The final merit list is based on an 80:20 ratio of Mains and interview scores.
IBPS PO Revised Exam Pattern 2025
1.Preliminary Exam:
- The IBPS PO 2025 Preliminary exam consists of 100 questions for a total of 100 marks.
- IBPS PO Exam Pattern is Divided into three sections: English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability.
- Each section has a time limit of 20 minutes and the total duration is of 60 minutes.
- Reasoning Ability now carries 40 marks (earlier it was 35 marks), giving it more weightage.
- English Language and Quantitative Aptitude still remains the same which is again of 30 marks each.
- The exam is objective and qualifying in nature for the Mains round.
2. Mains Examination:
- The Mains exam of the IBPS PO 2025 has a total 145 questions which carries total of 200 marks.
- There is also a Descriptive Paper (Essay and Letter Writing) which is of 25 marks which is just to check how clearly and effectively the candidates express their thoughts in writing.
- The exam is divided into the following sections:

Data Interpretation and Analysis
General, Banking, Financial and Digital Awareness - This new pattern is designed to check not just your knowledge, but also checking the candidates thinking ability and awareness about current events.

IBPS PO Salary 2025
The IBPS PO Salary in 2025 is highly attractive, especially for candidates entering the banking sector. As per the revised 12th Bipartite Settlement, the starting basic pay for a Probationary Officer is ₹48,480. However, the overall monthly in-hand salary ranges between ₹74,000 to ₹76,000, depending on the place of posting and applicable allowances. This salary includes several key components such as Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Special Allowance, and more, making the total package quite competitive. The structured salary progression and regular revisions ensure long-term financial growth and stability.
IBPS PO Benefits and Allowances
Along with the basic pay, IBPS Probationary Officers receive several allowances that enhance their overall salary. These include House Rent Allowance (7% to 9% based on location), Dearness Allowance (around 19.83% of basic pay), Special Allowance (7.75%), and City Compensatory Allowance (0% to 4%).
