Learn the Value of Hard Work by Working Hard

Dear Readers,

An average student with not so good academic records, a B.Tech graduate with no tag of IIT or NIT, and yes an engineer placed in an IT-MNC (by grace of mass recruiter), is now having 3 options to choose for his career route.

I LEARNED THE VALUE OF HARD WORK BY WORKING HARD!!

It all started in the month of July of the year 2015 (my graduation year). Completed degree and with 3 offers of employment in my hand I came back home with pride. Soon I got the joining within 15 days and bid farewell to family and joined in Gandhinagar. The very starting days or the training period made me feel like i m in the abode of heaven. Yeah enjoyed the training sessions but the real story started soon after when i was deployed on the project. Not mentioning much of that, managed through the time till December and yes then resigned in December 2015.

In the meanwhile, as I have always aspired to work in any govt sector or PSU, I used to give exams while working. I am giving an insight of my performance with almost ZERO preparations.
P.S- I gave only two exams in 2015

IBPS PO- Qualified Prelims
Mains Score- 81, Sectional cutoff of G.A - 7.25, mine-7

SSC CGL- Prelims-100

Mains-
Maths-105 (due to overconfidence)
English-152
missed the final call by 17 marks

Now, what I realised, was the potential in me, the caliber that I have. If without reading any single book and just appearing in the tests can take me to this mark then why not if I put my entire strength into it. These two exams and family's desire for govt job,  directed me to resign the private job and prepare for the government Jobs.

I came back home, started searching guidance for how to do and what to do. Everywhere I heard- DO SMART WORK!!! I thought what these people talk about, what is Smart Work! Somewhere I came to know about a website BANKERSADDA. For the very few days, I was just like a watchdog of the website. What it actually did, why people admired so much!! Now somewhat I started realising the ART OF SMART WORK.

FOR WHAT I AM, FOR WHAT I WILL BE... BANKERSADDA  HAS PLAYED A VERY KEY ROLE IN MY ENDEAVOUR...

For my GK section being very weak, that last year I was hardly able to drag myself to the boundary line, now I have scored almost 80% in GK section. And yes I am a silent viewer, no chit chatting, but yes I do read the comments as it was kind of stress buster thing.

Its month of October, year 2016, after a period of preparations that started in January and ended in august, I have cracked three exams and one more result is awaited.

1. UBI-PO-PGDBF 2016 (165 attempts)
2. UIIC-A.O 2016(163 attempts)
3. SBI-PO (91 attempts)

Failed in two exams this year-
1. SIDBI(Jan,2016)- my score 116.5, cutoff 119
2. LIC-AAO- my score 245.5, cutoff-250

Journey doesn't ends here. Still I have to compete more, get into my dream job UPSC.. but yes for that at least i have got a security.

At last I would like to convey my gratitude to those who helped me in anyway in my success through leaps and bounds. To My parents- The glare in their eyes and the happiness on their face is inexpressable. A heartfull of thanks to my mentor and guide MR.YOGESH SIR, MRS. NUTAN BAKSHI, for guiding my sail through all the troubles. A heart full thanks to NEELAM MADAM(SBI-PO, 2016).To my sister JIGYASU for always believing in me. And at last one of the great friend that I have , ANUSHKA, who helped me, motivated me, kept my morals high, prayed for me.....!!!

THANK YOU ALL. WISH YOU ALL THE VERY BEST FOR YOUR FUTURE ENDEAVOUR.

Regards,
Saurabh Swarup
