RBI Assistant Prelims 2017 Recruitment Exam is over, Now it's time for the much-awaited exam Analysis & Review (26th Nov 2017).
The level of this shift's examination was Very Easy. You can expect this year's cut off to be high in comparison to last year's RBI Assistant Pre-cut off. English Section was very easy and somewhat vocab based. Numerical Ability section was word based similarly Reasoning Ability also had a good scope of scoring marks.
The Reserve Bank of India invites applications from eligible candidates for a specific number of posts of “RBI Assistant” in various offices of the Bank. Selection for RBI Assistant is done through a country-wide competitive Examination in two phases i.e. Preliminary and Main examination.The level of this shift's examination was Very Easy. RBI Assistant Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility criteria include Age limit and Educational qualification. For RBI Assistant 2017 examination the lower and upper age limits are 20 years and 28 years respectively. Educational Qualification: At least a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks (pass class for SC/ST/PWD candidates) in the aggregate and the knowledge of word processing on PC.
RBI Assistant Salary
Assistants will draw a starting basic pay of ₹ 14650/- per month (i.e. ₹ 13150 plus two advance increments admissible to graduates) in the scale of 13150-750 (3)-15400- 900(4) -19000-1200(6)-26200-1300 (2)-28800- 1480(3) – 33240 – 1750 (1)- 34990 (20 years) and other allowances , viz Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, City Compensatory Allowance, Transport Allowance etc. as admissible from time to time. At present, initial monthly Gross emoluments for Assistants is approximately ₹ 32528/- including House Rent Allowance @ of 15 %.

Penalty for Wrong Answers (Applicable to both - Preliminary and Main examination)
There is a penalty for wrong answers marked in the Online Objective Tests. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate, one-fourth of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty to arrive at corrected score. No marks are deducted for un-attempted questions.
