RBI Assistant 2017 Recruitment

The Reserve Bank of India invites applications from eligible candidates for a specific number of posts of  “RBI Assistant” in various offices of the Bank. Selection for RBI Assistant is done through a country-wide competitive Examination in two phases i.e. Preliminary and Main examination.

RBI Assistant Cut Off

The cut off of RBI Assistant 2017 Prelims Examination will be released post the conduction of the exam. The candidates who will qualify for the Prelims examination will be eligible to appear for the Mains Examination. The final cut off will be released after the conduction of Mains Examination.

RBI Assistant 2017 Notification

Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released the RBI Assistant 2017 notification for the 623 posts of Assistant in Various offices in the Bank.  Selection for the post will be through a country-wide competitive examination in two phases i.e. Preliminary and Main examination followed by a Language Proficiency Test (LPT).

RBI Assistant Vacancy 2017

RBI has introduced 623 vacancies for RBI Assistant 2017 Exam. Last year RBI Assistant had 610 vacancies. RBI Assistant vacancies also have reservations under various categories will be as per prevailing Government Guidelines at the time of finalisation of the result.

RBI Assistant Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility criteria include Age limit and Educational qualification. For RBI Assistant 2017 examination the lower and upper age limits are 20 years and 28 years respectively. Educational Qualification: At least a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks (pass class for SC/ST/PWD candidates) in the aggregate and the knowledge of word processing on PC.

RBI Assistant Salary

Assistants will draw a starting basic pay of ₹ 14650/- per month (i.e. ₹ 13150 plus two advance increments admissible to graduates) in the scale of 13150-750 (3)-15400- 900(4) -19000-1200(6)-26200-1300 (2)-28800- 1480(3) – 33240 – 1750 (1)- 34990 (20 years) and other allowances , viz Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, City Compensatory Allowance, Transport Allowance etc. as admissible from time to time. At present, initial monthly Gross emoluments for Assistants is approximately ₹ 32528/- including House Rent Allowance @ of 15 %.

RBI Assistant Exam Pattern

In 2017 RBI Assistant exam will be held in two phases (Prelims and Mains examination).

Preliminary Examination:

The final selection will be made on the basis of candidate's performance in the online main examination.
Penalty for Wrong Answers (Applicable to both - Preliminary and Main examination)
There is a penalty for wrong answers marked in the Online Objective Tests. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate, one-fourth of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty to arrive at corrected score. No marks are deducted for un-attempted questions.

RBI Assistant Application Fees

This was the application fees for the previous RBI Assistant examination:
Rs.50/- for SC/ST/PWD/EXS. (Intimation Charges)
Rs.450/- for OBC/General candidates (Examination fee+ Intimation Charges)

I belong to OBC category and I am 28 yrs old, but according to advertisement ,I could apply till 31 yrs but I am unable to fill my form .It is not giving OBC relaxation, pls suggest 😢

Hi...as per eligibility criteria one should be born after 02nd Oct 1989, but I am born in July 1989 and belong to OBC category...Can I still fill the form based on age relaxation..?? Please suggest.....

what does it mean by "knowledge of word processing in PC"?? I don't have any specific degree in word processing or computer science but i had I.T as a paper in my +2 exams as well as in graduation exams. so am i eligible to apply??
Further do i need to have a passing certificate in the language of the state i am interested in to apply for the state?

How to convert CGPA to percentage Sir i am graduate in commerce(BAF) mumbai university. From college i got only marksheet which shows CGPA obtained, but Rbi requires percentage. So do we get any other certificate which shows percentage obtained. Please reply...

To convert your cgpa to Percentage?
Just multiply your cgpa to 9.5 which gives u percentage.
Eg: my cgpa was 7.8
So 7.8*9.5 =74.1%
