Important Change in the English Section
The English Language test is qualifying in nature. Marks obtained in the English section will not be considered for the final merit list. The Bank will decide the minimum qualifying marks/percentage for individual sections and may also waive the qualifying criteria at its discretion.

Negative Marking in BOB LBO Exam 2026
There will be a penalty for wrong answers in all sections of the online examination. For every incorrect answer, 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted. There will be no penalty for a question left unanswered. Therefore, candidates should focus on maintaining a balance between attempts and accuracy instead of making unnecessary guesses.
BOB LBO Psychometric Test
The Bank may conduct a Psychometric Test and/or Personal Interview to assess candidates on personality, communication, clarity, problem-solving ability, innovativeness, efficiency, willingness to work in different parts of the country and suitability for the Local Bank Officer role.
Bank of Baroda LBO Language Proficiency Test (LPT)
Candidates must have proficiency in the local language of the state for which they are applying. The test assesses reading, writing, and speaking skills. However, candidates who studied the local language in the 10th or 12th standard are exempted from LPT.
BOB LBO Preparation Tips
- Go through the previous year papers of other LBO exams to understand question trends (as the BOB LBO exam is being conducted for the first time).
- Read newspapers daily for General Awareness.
- Practice mock tests regularly to improve speed and accuracy.
