“Challenges Makes you more Responsible” : Rahul Nandeshwar (Electrical Supervisor- SMPCIL)

Dear Readers,
"Challenges Makes you more Responsible" : Rahul Nandeshwar (Electrical Supervisor- SMPCIL) |_2.1
This is Rahul Nandeshwar from Nagpur. I am a B.E. graduate student from RTM Nagpur university 2015 Batch. I always wanted to share my success story with you especially for those students who are feeling deeply depressed and low because of many failures. I hope my story will help all students in getting out of their negative zones and start their journey of getting a reputed government job.

Being an average or below average student, I was always trying to be in top 3 all the time with (JABARDASTI KA) hard work. After looking at my hardworking nature, my teachers and my seniors always motivated me for preparing for the best. So here it came last days of our graduation, I had an advantage over my collogues because I had got a campus placement in Horizon Telecom as a Telecom Trainee Engineer. But at that time my sister was recruited as a Probationary officer. So she wanted me to prepare for UPSC engineering service examination.
So I went to Delhi and 12-month coaching for GATE and ESE examination. I had full family support so I did my best for scoring good marks in GATE and ESE Examination. But somehow I couldn’t score good marks in GATE examination but I had a decent rank in GATE examination which could provide me an opportunity of doing MTech from any reputed NITs or autonomous college with 12000/- scholarship per month.
But getting good government job before my dad’s retirement was the main aim of mine at that time. So I refused the plan of doing post-graduation. During coaching period of one year, I never appear in any examination other than GATE and ESE examination. So I wasn’t able to get any job after the coaching period. The failure in GATE AND ESE examination drove me into deep depression almost for 3-4 months. In that depression period, I thought of taking extreme steps that were obviously not right, but I suppose at a point in time I felt I was losing the strength to fight and survive. I also went through a serious accident because of which again I couldn’t appear in most of the major examination in till July 2016. Then finally I sought the guidance of a professional who helped me in getting out of depression.
At that time my elder brother (MTech degree holder) was preparing for Banking and SSC examinations.  He suggested me to start preparing for Banking and SSC examination. He showed me many success stories of Bankersadda. I found many cases in those success stories of students and aspirants who were also preparing for GATE and ESE examination but somehow they couldn’t make it and did preparation for banking examination and grabbed the PO jobs within the 6 month of preparation.
Then I came to know about most amazing Study App – ADDA247 which was full of amazing study materials and it always stays updated with latest government job notifications.

Now The Strategy Part:

I started my journey of preparing for non-technical examination from July 2016. I maintained my daily schedule of following every daily post of bankers adda which was planned according to IBPS PO 2016-2017 which helped me a lot for clearing my basic concepts. Also, I studied for 3 month with my elder cousin brother. He also taught me some basic concepts of aptitude and reasoning. Whenever I had doubt in any topic I always approached him personally. After that, I started appearing in the government examination.
As my wrist was broken after an accident doctor recommended me not to use my right hand till 1 and half month. But IBPS PO prelims examination was very near. Still I followed my daily schedule I appeared in IBPS PO Prelims. After some time the day came when IBPS PO Prelims results were declared. I saw my result at that time I was on the cloud nine because that was the first government job examination I cleared after my Graduation.
Then I geared up my preparation for Mains Examination, in between I also appeared in other examination like, DMRC, AAI, SSC JE, NPCIL, BARC, IBPS clerk, etc. I followed Bankersadda’s GK POWER CAPSULE for mains examination. Mock test and daily bankers adda quizzes were boosting my confidence for the examinations. Then the day arrived when I received a notification of an exam result, and I found that I cleared IBPS PO MAINS EXAMINATION and I cleared IBPS Clerk Prelims too with good marks. So I started preparing for an INTERVIEW.
But in between the preparation period I again started preparing for GATE examination again (my biggest mistake). So this time I was able to improve my GATE Score but still, that wasn’t good enough to provide me descent PSUs. Then came that day of the final result. I couldn’t make it to final list in both IBPS PO and IBPS clerk. I felt so low and dishearten and the same happened with my elder brother. But after looking at each other’s conditions we both grabbed courage once again and continued our preparation.
I appeared in many (almost countless) examinations and faced failure again and again. Suddenly my elder brother cleared many other examinations. He cleared Intelligence Bureau and RRB NTPC examination (Now he got success in both the examination in final selection list). I was really happy for him, a bit jealous but yes motivated by his achievements.
I remembered the words of my teacher, “Once you are done with preparation you will start clearing almost every examination and that will happen only when you prepare well.” And this was true, finally the time came I started clearing  many examinations in a row
I appeared in almost every available examination during my preparation. Some of them I can mention below
  1. DMRC
  2. SSC JE
  3. RRB NTPC
  4. RRB CLERK
  5. NPCIL
  6. BARC
  7. BANK OF BARODA
  8. NICL ASSISTANT
  9. NICL AO
  10. UICL AO
  11. AAI (Airport authority of India),
  12. Government mint Hyderabad,
  13. Mahagenco
  14. Mahatransco
  15. NMRC
  16. CDS
  17. AFCAT
  18. NABARD

And there were many more exams...And following are the examinations I cleared:
  • IBPS PO 2016-17 MAINS (but couldn’t make it in final selection list)
  • IBPS CLERK PRELIMS (With good marks but couldn’t clear mains examination)
  • APTRANSCO AE examination
  • SBI PO PRELIMS (couldn’t clear mains examination)
  • SSC CPO

And finally, I was selected in Nasik currency printing press examination as an ELECTRICAL SUPERVISOR (Scale-1) SMPCIL (Security Minting and Printing Corporation of India Ltd.).
This examination was just similar to BANK OF BARODA  PO examination except there was also a technical section, where most of the questions were from Physics, Chemistry, Maths and from basics of Electrical Engineering.
So guys I just wanted to convey you a message that, “don’t get disheartened despite many failures. These failures are the stepping stones of your pathway towards success.” Whenever you feel low and demotivated, do read success stories of bankersadda and do spend time with your family and friends in your tough time.
With this I would also like to add that Tough time not always stays but Tough people do.  Social media like Facebook and WhatsApp may distract you from studies but in my case, I would say this need not always be true.  Sonali (a friend of mine) once said to me there are so many distracting things and resources with you like TV and mobile phones but it depends on the individual, how he utilizes his resources.
On Facebook, I joined many study groups, I did same with WhatsApp, I joined many highly study oriented groups which helped me a lot for clearing my doubts.  So don’t get depressed or feel low about your failures; just take some breaks while studying and do spend at least 1 hours daily doing your favorite stuff (recreational activity)  like exercise, yoga, painting, singing, dancing, etc.
So Finally I would thank to my elder Brother Amol dada and my fellow WhatsApp friends. All the best to you for upcoming examinations.
