CSIR SO ASO Exam Date 2024, Stage 2 Exam in July

CSIR SO ASO Exam Date 2024: What next for the candidates who have qualified for the CSIR SO ASO Stage I Exam 2024? Candidates who have qualified for the CSIR SO ASO Stage I Exam 2024 are now called for the next stage of the recruitment process, i.e. Stage II. The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research has scheduled the CSIR SO ASO Phase 2 Exam on 07 July 2024. 

CSIR SO ASO Exam Date 2024

CSIR SO ASO Stage 2 Exam will be conducted on 07 July 2024(Sunday). CSIR SO ASO Stage II includes Paper III and CPT. Candidates will have to appear for Paper III, i.e. descriptive exam in the morning shift. Those aspirants who have submitted their application forms for the position of Assistant Section Officer have to also clear the computer proficiency test, which will be conducted in the afternoon shift on the same day and at the same examination venue.

Does the CSIR Exam Include an Interview?

Through the CSIR SO ASO selection process discussed above, it is crystal clear that aspirants submitting their application forms for the 76 posts of Section Officer will have to appear for the Interview. The weightage of the Interview for the selection of candidates for the position of Section Officer (Gen/F&A/S&P) will be 100 marks. Applicants who achieve the minimum required marks in the aggregate for Paper– I, Paper- II, and Paper- III, totaling 500 marks, will be called for the interview stage.

CSIR SO ASO 2024 Exam Pattern

The CSIR SO ASO Exam Pattern has been divided into certain sections. In the Paper I candidates have to go through the subjects like General Awareness and English Language and comprehension. Paper I will be both objective and descriptive type. Paper II will consist of 200 marks in which 200 objective-type questions will be covered from subjects like General Intelligence, Reasoning, and Mental Ability.
