- Female enrolment in higher education rose significantly from 1.57 crore in 2014–15 to 2.18 crore in 2022–23 and 2.24 crore in 2023–24, reflecting a 42.2% increase over the decade.
- Enrolment of Scheduled Caste (SC) students increased from 46.07 lakh in 2014–15 to 69.72 lakh in 2023–24, registering a growth of 51.4%.
- Enrolment of Scheduled Tribe (ST) students increased from 16.41 lakh in 2014–15 to 28.83 lakh in 2023–24, recording a growth of 75.7%.
- Enrolment of Other Backward Classes (OBC) students increased from 1.13 crore in 2014–15 to 1.80 crore in 2023–24, reflecting an increase of 60.2%.
- Enrolment in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) disciplines increased from 91.5 lakh in 2014–15 to 1.02 crore in 2023–24, highlighting the growing emphasis on STEM education.
