First ever online exhibition on Ramayana inaugurated: Current Affairs Special Series

First-ever online exhibition on Ramayana inaugurated

Tourism and Culture Minister Prahlad Singh Patel has inaugurated the very first-time online exhibition on Ramayana. The weblink for the online exhibition is www. virtual.in/Virtual _Tour/Ramayan. Mr.Prahalad singh Patel addressed a webinar ‘India’s Heritage: Powering Tourism’ on the occasion of World Heritage Day on 18th April. 

The online exhibition shows 49 miniature paintings collections of the National Museum, New Delhi from different art schools of India. Mr. Tourism and culture minister said at the time of inauguration, that India has a unique heritage of temples, dance, music, shastras which cannot be found anywhere in the world. He also said, protecting valuable inheritances for future generations is a collective responsibility and requires a renewed focus on community participation and awareness. According to him, it is the responsibility of the younger generation to take responsibility and to carry forward the task of promoting the vast heritage of the country with proper facts and timelines. As a living object, we should take care of this heritage because it shows our roots on the earth if we forget our heritage our past we may not survive and grow in the future. On 18 April the whole world has celebrated World Heritage day to mark the importance of these valuables and to acquire the knowledge of our rich heritage of the world. UNESCO has celebrated this year’s heritage day with the theme: Complex pasts: Diverse futures.
