State Bank of India (SBI) Exam:

State Bank of India conducts various examination to recruit Probationary Officer, Junior Associate (Clerk), Specialist Officer, etc in various branches of SBI. There is a separate examination for all the recruitment. Here is the exam that are being conducted by SBI:


SBI PO is the most reputed Bank Job for Graduate aspirants. In this, aspirants from any field are invited and are made to go through three stages of the recruitment.

Notification for SBI PO: April (tentative)

Selection Process: Prelims, Mains and Interview.

Age Limit: 21-30 Years


SBI Specialist Officer Recruitment is a three stage recruitment that recruit candidates having excellence in their field to work as a SO in the bank. This is a field oriented job in the relevant field like IT, HR, Marketing, Law, Rajbhasha, Agriculture will be able to appear for the exam. Specialist Officer in IT, Law, Agriculture requires graduation degree while HR, Marketing requires MBA in the field.

Notification for SBI SO: Anytime of the year.

Selection Procedure: Prelims, Mains (Professional Test ) and Interview. For other post, only interview with professional experience is counted.

Age Limit: As per the post

SBI Junior Associate (Clerk): 

SBI conducts SBI Clerk examination to recruit Junior Associate in various branches of SBI. This is a grass-root level examination consisting of two stages and a LPT (Language Proficiency Test).

Notification for SBI Clerk: January (This year’s online application ended on 26 January 2020)

Selection Procedure: Prelims, Mains followed by Language Proficiency Test (LPT)

Age Limit: 20-28 Years

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) Exam:

IBPS is one of the largest recruiting body that conducts various examination to recruit eligible candidates for the various Public Sector Banks and Regional Banks. Clerk, Probationary Officer, Assistant, etc are the post for which IBPS conducts examination.


IBPS PO exam is conducted to recruit Probationary Officer in various Public Sector Bank. This exam is conducted every year and candidates should hold a degree of graduation.

Notification: August/ September

Selection Procedure: Prelims, Main and Interview

Age Limit: 20-30 years


IBPS conducts specialist officer exam for field oriented job. Specialist Officer in IT, Law, Agriculture requires graduation degree while HR, Marketing requires MBA in the field.

Notification: October/ November

Selection Procedure: Prelims, Main and Interview

Age Limit: 20- 30 Years

IBPS Clerk

This is one of the most popular exam among graduates. It is a two stage recruitment that hire eligible candidates to work on the grass-root level

Notification: September/ October

Selection Procedure: Prelims, Main and LPT (Language Proficiency Test)

Age Limit: 20-28 Years


IBPS is conducting RRB recruitment for both Clerk and Officer Post in Regional Rural Banks across India. Graduation Degree and should have proficiency in their local language. Clerk and Officer Post have different selection process which is given as follows.

Clerk (Office Assistant) Age Limit: 18 to 28 Years

Selection Process: Prelims and Main Examination

Assistant Manager (Officer Cadre) Age Limit: 18 – 30 Years

National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) conducts assistant, grade A and B exam to recruit candidates who are graduates. The various post are:

NABARD Grade A, NABARD Grade B, NABARD Development Assistant, NABARD Office Attendant.

RBI Assistant

RBI Assistant is one of the reputed job to recruit candidates for Reserve Bank of India

Notification: Any Time in the Year

Selection Procedure: Prelims, Main, Language Test.

Age Limit: 20-28 years

One of the most lucrative job of the banking sector is RBI Grade B that demands a full length strategy. This is a three stage recruitment and is one of the toughest exam in banking sector.
