Success Story of Shubhi Srivastav Selected as RRB PO Officer

Hello aspirants,

Institute Of Banking Personnel Selection has successfully announced its final result of IBPS RRB PO and many congratulations to the candidates who have been selected and keep sending their success stories to us so that we can share them with our students. Here we are sharing with you the success story of Shubhi Srivastav.

I am so so happy to share my success story. I started my preparation in 2016 after doing my graduation from Btech (E.C) I always wanted to write my success story and finally, I got the chance. I cleared my first pre exams in 2018 of SBI PRE. I could not clear the main exam and there was a huge difference of 10 marks. I got 10 marks less than the cut-off. I was heartbroken as I had many hopes from the result. but I never gave up on my dream to get a job in a bank. I have appeared for so many pre exams since 2016 and failed so many times. But I never quit. My foremost inspiration is my mother. I lost her in 2018 and her dream was to see me at a good position in the bank. I never wanted to let her down so I continued my journey despite all the problems I faced. Finally, I made her proud. My family and friends always supported me in my journey. During the exams, one should always keep company of people who support and motivate them. Now let me share my strategy.

Math- This was my weakest section right from my childhood. It still gives me nightmares. I followed Ankush Lamba for this subject. I used to give one hour daily to number series, quadratic equations, simplification, and approximation. After this, I did 3-4 pre-level DI. I practised 2 main DI by watching videos. I have worked hard on accuracy. I practised a lot by doing daily one full mock. I purchased a target batch of Ankush Lamba and used it to complete the targets. I learned squares up to 50 and cubes up to 25. This helped me a lot to get familiar with the numbers. I always used to learn the basics instead of trying shortcuts. I used to watch videos of main-level questions multiple times till I was confident that I can solve the same pattern. I got 10.25 in mains.
Eng- I made this section very strong. I followed Niharika John Mehra from Academy. I did one-time full grammar classes. To those who are not strong in this section do go one time through the grammar part. I made RC and PJ my strong point. Many students leave these 2 topics but you should pay attention on these. I did daily 5 vocabularies. I have not read much editorial as I could not manage with all the other sections. Daily, I practised miscellaneous topics like error detection, match the column, spelling errors, fill in the blanks. During the lockdown period, I did the main level of RC and PJ daily. I got 27.50 in mains.
Reasoning- I followed ANKUSH LAMBA for this section. Daily, I practiced puzzles and miscellaneous topics like syllogism, alphanumeric series, blood relation, etc. I got 26.25 in mains. In RRB clerk, I got 37/40 in RRB clerk mains and the credit goes to Ankush Lamba Sir. He is an expert in this section. His tricks have made every difficult puzzle very easy to solve. I gave mock on daily basis and tried to do puzzles with less amount of time. One should practice every topic daily.
Ga- I was weak in this section as I was not doing GA daily. I earlier failed in ibps clerk mains and sbi clerk mains with very less margin because of this section. I developed a habit to revise and learn daily general awareness. I followed the Bankersadda website for daily GA. I watched the Next Exam Iq video of Rohit sir. In the morning I used to learn ga from both the above-mentioned sources. In the night I used to give a quiz from the BankersAdda app and the Practice Mock app. I also read BSC MAGAZINE for this section. I focused immensely on this section. This section should be done daily along with others too. I got 7.50 and this section was a game-changer this time.
Computer- I followed Lucent’s book for this section and gave daily quizzes from BankersAdda App. I got 21.25 in mains.
I am more than thrilled to share my success story. I have seen so many setbacks in life but I kept my focus throughout the journey. I knew being an average student will take time to get the result but one day I will surely make it. My father and sister are so happy that I can not even express it in words. Many people contributed to my success. I thank every one of you.
I am selected in both RRB PO and CLERK.
For interview- I got 82/100 in an interview. It was my first interview in life. For the interview, I focused on daily current and banking awareness. I followed Anil Aggarwal Sir for banking awareness. I followed Bankopedia-Ashutosh Sir to learn the nuances of how to present oneself infront of the panel.
Thank you so much for letting me share my success saga.
