Success Story: Vicky Kumar (SBI Clerk)

Hello friends,

Success Story: Vicky Kumar (SBI Clerk) |_2.1

This is Vicky
Kumar,
from Hazaribagh (A small town of Jharkhand). I have completed my BCA
in 2015 from St. Columba’s college Hazaribagh. I have cleared both ibps po 5
and ibps clerk 5 in my very first attempt. I got selected in Vijaya Bank
as PO and in Bank of India as clerk. I am going to join Vijaya Bank.

My Inspiration and Motivation

I am from a lower middle class. After doing my BCA, I appeared
for NIMCET and I had secured a seat in NIT Jamshedpur in MCA. I cannot
afford admission due to financial problems.

So, I along with my father approached a bank for Education loan, But, the bank
refused to pay my initial fees and manager said that I had to pay my first year
fee (which is around 1.3 lakhs, including hostel charges), and only after
admission he would approve my loan. My father was very disappointed. That
time my father said ” Beta, Tum bank manager nhi ban sakte ho, kya Tum
eligible ho banane k lie??? “(Son, can you a bank manager, are you
eligible for that ??)

I said “Ban sakata hu Papa, Aur banunga” (Papa, I can, and I will)

And, then I decided to start preparing for bank exams

The Preparation

I started my preparation in last week of July 2015, first of all
I searched for pattern, previous year cut-offs and types of questions from
YouTube and different sites. And, then I analysed what I have to study and how
to study. I made a strategy and follow that till my selection. In August, I
studied the major portion of reasoning, Quant and English. I am pretty
good in Maths , so
Quant was quite easy for me, I
only keep practicing it.

For reasoning, I prefer to practice previous
year questions, and it was quite useful.

For English, I prefer reading and it becomes better day by day.

For Current affairs and GA I was fully Dependable on bankersadda, and it really helps me.

In and After, September I mainly focused on given online test and its proper
analysis . I tried to find out my weakness and sort out it in next test, in
this process I became better and better.
I had attempted almost 50-60 test of pre and 20-25 test of mains. And, it
does give me an edge.

Suggestions for aspirants

Do believe on yourself, and you are halfway there. Make your own strategy
for yourself by analysing your weakness and strength. Stick to it and sooner or
later you will definitely get results. Many candidates who are going to attempt this exam for the first time gets
demotivated by seeing the number of attempts or failures of successful
candidates, but let me assure you, if you have work hard with proper strategy
you will definitely get success in your very first attempt.

Tips for coming ibps Po mains Exam:

for Current affairs and computer Read capsules
provided by Bankersadda, it is indispensable. And, give atleast two test daily
and analyze where you are getting wrong and which section is taking more time
and try to improve accordingly. If some questions are taking more time than
usual then, try to escape it, because in the end, proper utilisation of time does
matter.
