SBI Clerk Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for the SBI Clerk Recruitment 2025 must fulfil the eligibility criteria set by the bank. These eligibility criteria are in terms of the educational qualification and age limit.
Note: Candidates who are in the final year or final semester of their graduation can also apply. However, if they are provisionally selected, they must submit proof of passing their graduation exam on or before 31st December 2025.

SBI Clerk Selection Process
The SBI Clerk Recruitment 2025 is conducted in two major stages: the Preliminary Exam and the Main Exam. Both exams are held online and are objective in nature. Candidates who clear the prelims will be eligible to appear in the mains. There is no interview for the clerical post, so performing well in both written exams is essential for final selection.
Phase I: Preliminary Exam
The preliminary exam is an online test of 100 marks and includes three sections: English Language, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning Ability. Each section is timed for 20 minutes, making the total exam duration 60 minutes. There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer.
Phase II: Mains Exam
Candidates who qualify the prelims appear for the main exam, which carries a total of 200 marks. It includes four sections: General/Financial Awareness, General English, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude. The total number of questions is 190, and the test duration is 2 hours 40 minutes. Just like prelims, 0.25 marks are deducted for each wrong answer.
Phase III: Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT)
Candidates who are selected but haven’t studied the local language of the state or union territory they have applied for in Class 10th or 12th will be required to appear for the LLPT. This test checks the candidate’s ability to read, write, and speak the local language. Those who fail the LLPT will be disqualified, and their selection will be cancelled.
