The State Bank of India has announced the SBI Apprentice Recruitment 2026, opening a massive opportunity for candidates seeking practical experience in the banking sector. SBI Apprentice Eligibility Criteria 2026

SBI Apprentice Educational Qualification

Candidates applying for SBI Apprentice must possess the following educational qualification:

• Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or Institute.
• The qualification must be completed on or before the prescribed cutoff date mentioned in the notification.
• Candidates must have valid mark sheets or degree certificates at the time of document verification.

SBI Apprentice Age Limit

To apply for SBI Apprentice 2026, candidates must satisfy the prescribed age criteria as per the official notification. The age will be calculated as on 01-04-2026 i.e. candidates must have been born not later than 01.04.2006 and not earlier than 02.04.1998 (both days inclusive).

Candidates applying for SBI Apprentice must be a Citizen of India.

Important Eligibility Conditions for SBI Apprentice 2026

Apart from educational qualification and age limit, candidates must also fulfill the following conditions:

• Candidates should not have undergone apprenticeship training earlier in SBI or any other organization.
• Candidates currently pursuing apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act are not eligible.
• Candidates having one year or more job experience after graduation are not eligible for engagement as apprentices.
• Ex-Servicemen and Disabled Ex-Servicemen are not eligible for apprenticeship engagement.
• Candidates must be medically fit as per SBI requirements before final engagement.
• Candidates should have proficiency in the local language of the state they are applying for.

SBI Apprentice Local Language Requirement

The local language test will be conducted after the online written examination. However, candidates who can produce Class 10th or 12th mark sheets showing they studied the local language will be exempted from the language test. Candidates applying for a particular state must be able to:

• Read the local language.
• Write the local language.
• Speak and understand the local language.
