The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released the RBI Young Professional Recruitment 2026 Notification. The recruitment aims to hire qualified professionals on a contractual basis for roles in research, policy analysis, data analytics, fintech, cybersecurity, financial markets, and other specialized areas at RBI’s Central Office in Mumbai.

Educational Qualification

The educational qualification varies according to the post applied for. RBI is inviting applications from candidates possessing qualifications such as:

• Professional qualifications in Data Science, Economics, Finance, AI, Cyber Security, Statistics, Public Policy, Climate Studies, Computer Science, and related disciplines.

RBI Young Professional Salary 2026

One of the biggest attractions of this recruitment is the impressive compensation package offered by RBI. Selected candidates will receive a fixed monthly stipend of ₹1,50,000 throughout the engagement period. However, Young Professionals will not be entitled to any additional allowances, accommodation, or employee benefits apart from emergency dispensary facilities available within office premises.

The engagement will be purely contractual in nature.

• Initial Tenure: 3 Years
• Extension: Based on performance and mutual agreement
• Maximum Tenure: 5 Years

RBI Young Professional Selection Process 2026

The selection process consists of the following stages:

• Stage 1: Preliminary Screening – Applications received from candidates will be screened by a committee based on eligibility, qualifications, experience, and suitability.
• Stage 2: Document Verification – Shortlisted candidates will be required to produce original documents supporting their educational qualifications, experience, and eligibility claims.
• Stage 3: Interview – Candidates shortlisted after screening will be called for an interview. The final selection will be based on performance in the interview and overall suitability for the post.
