Central Bank of India Apprentice Eligibility Criteria 2026
Before applying for Central Bank of India Apprentice Recruitment 2026, candidates must carefully review all eligibility conditions, including nationality, age limit, educational qualifications, and reservation rules, which are defined with a cut-off date of 31 May 2026.
1. Nationality (Who Can Apply)
A candidate must be:
- A citizen of India, OR
- A subject of Nepal, OR
- A subject of Bhutan, OR
- A Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1 January 1962 with the intention of permanent settlement, OR
- A person of Indian origin who migrated from countries like Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Burma, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam
- with the intention of permanently settling in India.
- Candidates from Nepal, Bhutan, Tibet, and other countries must have a Government of India eligibility certificate.
2. Age Limit (as on 31 May 2026)
- Minimum Age: 20 years
- Maximum Age: 28 years
Candidates must be born between: 31.05.1998 and 31.05.2006 (both dates inclusive)
3. Age Relaxation (Upper Age Limit)
Some categories get relaxation in age:
SC/ST: +5 years
OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): +3 years
PwBD (Persons with Disabilities):
General: +10 years
OBC: +13 years
SC/ST: +15 years
Widows / Divorced / Legally separated women (not remarried):
Up to 35 years (General/EWS)
Up to 38 years (OBC)
Up to 40 years (SC/ST)
Note: OBC candidates from the creamy layer are treated as General category.
4. Educational Qualification
- Must have a Graduation degree in any stream from a recognized university.
- Graduation must be completed on or after 1 January 2022.
- Candidates must provide degree certificate or provisional certificate when required.
5. Training Details
- Candidates must be registered on the NATS portal
- Training duration: 12 months (1 year)
6. Reservation Categories
Reservation applies for:
- SC / ST
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)
- EWS (Economically Weaker Section)
- PwBD (Persons with Benchmark Disabilities)
- Reservation rules are as per Government of India guidelines.
7. Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD)
Covered disabilities include:
- Visually Impaired (Blindness / Low Vision)
- Hearing Impaired (Deaf / Hard of Hearing)
- Orthopedically Disabled (arms/legs disability, etc.)
- Cerebral Palsy, Leprosy Cured, Dwarfism, Acid Attack Victims, Muscular Dystrophy
- Intellectual disabilities (Autism, learning disorders, mental illness, etc.)
8. Economically Weaker Section (EWS)
To qualify under EWS:
Family income must be below ₹8 lakh per year
AND must NOT own:
- 5 acres or more agricultural land
- Flat of 1000 sq. ft. or more
- Plot of 100 sq. yards (notified cities) or 200 sq. yards (other areas)
Income certificate must be issued by a competent government authority.
9. Important Points to Remember
- Category once selected cannot be changed later
- All certificates must be valid and in prescribed format
- Vacancies may change depending on requirement
- PwBD reservation is included within overall vacancies
- Candidates must be medically fit for engagement
- All documents will be verified during selection
