CBI SO 2026 Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility will be determined based on March 31, 2026. Candidates must meet the following conditions:
- Age Limit: 33 to 45 years
- Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, and 10 years for PwBD candidates
- Nationality: Must be an Indian citizen, or a subject of Nepal/Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee (before 1962), or a person of Indian origin planning to settle permanently in India
- Credit Score: Minimum CIC score of 650 with no record of loan default or financial misconduct
Qualifications
Risk Management (Scale V)
- Education: B.Sc. (Statistics/Economics) or MBA (Finance/Banking) with 55% marks
- Certification: FRM, CFA, or PRM required
- Experience: 10 years in banking, including 5 years in Risk Management in a large bank
Finance & Accounts (Scale V)
- Education: Graduation + CA (ICAI member)
- Experience: 10 years in banking, with 7 years in Corporate Tax, GST, or Balance Sheet work at Head Office level
Credit Officer (Scale V)
- Education: CA / CFA / ICWA or 2-year PG in Banking/Finance
- Experience: 10 years after qualification, including 7 years in Corporate or Large Credit handling
