Hello everyone,
I have already introduced myself to you as mentioned above. I was thinking to write my success story from last year but now I think is the correct time to write it.
I hope my success story will motivate you and guide you how to crack banking exam.
My story starts from may 2015 when my graduation was completed. All the friends of my circle got placed in good companies but I left unplaced. I was passing from my very hard period. I reached to interview round of all the companies that came in my college but didn’t make it to the final list. The main reason for not getting placement was my destructed self-confidence. I was very low in my confidence and lost my self-esteem.
Then one of my friend suggested me to go for bank preparation. I joined the famous coaching institute for preparation in June 2015. My first exam was SBI PO after one month but didn’t manage to clear the pre. I felt bad but continued my preparation. Side by side I have also joined the Integrated MBA course in my college but I did not go daily. My main focus was my bank preparation. The reason for joining bank course and not any other course was to get a job quickly as its syllabus is comparatively less.
As I started learning new things especially GK, I had started gaining my self-confidence back. I was good in math as I was from an engineering background so I cleared most of my exams on the basis of maths. Then after 5-6 months preparation, I have cleared IBPS PO & Clerk both pre as well as mains. I missed the IBPS PO 2015-16 final list but got selected in Canara Bank. I have also cleared SBI clerk 2016 but didn’t join. I started working in Canara bank as Clerk. Then with my job, I have prepared for IBPS PO and finally cleared it by the grace of God.
The 1-year preparation was not easy. It’s full of ups and downs. Sometimes we feel happy when we clear pre or some exam but on the other moment, we feel very sad when could not clear an exam. I had some of my past memories which keep haunting me when I was low. But it’s only you who can drag yourself from hard times and move forward. I tried to remain my self-focused for studies and I achieved my goal. Lot more to say but not the correct platform.
So now I suggest you some study plans for all the subjects:
Maths – Prepare basics either from coaching material book or from some books
Reasoning- now a days lots of changes taking place in this subject which you do not get in any book. So keep doing bankers adda daily post and practice from Online speed test.
G.K. – for Banking awareness read from coaching
For G.k. read from Bankers Adda only. Do its daily post, hindu review, competition power and capsule.
English- ye subject bahut logon ko pareshan krta h. Mjhe bhi kiya tha.
For this you have to improve you reading skills. Read only the daily editorials of hindu which you will easily get on Google.
No need to do anything for gramner just practice error, cloze test, fill ups etc from previous year papers of PO.
Must do things to crack bank exam:
• Follow bankers adda daily and do its all daily post. I still do this.
• Give 2-3 st at least per week and do its complete analysis. Without analysis ST is incomplete.
• Prepare a base from coaching material.
• Do practice previous year paper
Exams I have given :
• Sbi po 2015 – pre out
• Rbi assistant 2015 – not cleared
• Ibps po 2015 – pre & mains cleared but not in final list
• Ibps clerk 2015 – cleared and working in canara bank
• Lic Aao – missed written cutoff by 2 marks
• Sbi clerk 2016 – cleared ( but didn’t joined) attempt 100 questions in pre and got 89 marks.
• Sbi po 2016 – for this i studied 10 hours a day cleared pre but in mains missed English cutoff by 1.5 marks inspite of getting 14 marks above overall cutoff
• IBPS PO 2016-17 – cleared got Canara Bank
