Vocabulary is an important part of English that helps you deal with all kinds of questions in objective as well as descriptive papers of various exams. In the recently concluded Banking Exams, we witnessed that a major part of the exam was based on vocabulary. Many questions were vocab based and we can expect the same in the upcoming exams. 1. INNATE:जन्मजात
Meaning:An inborn or natural quality
Synonyms: natural, real
Antonyms: unnatural, artificial
Example:The formal models that are consistent with a critical period rely on innate representations of abstract structure.


2. GULLIBLE: आसानी से धोखा खानेवाला
Meaning:easily deceived or tricked
Synonyms:stupid,foolish
Antonyms:clever, wise
Example:There will be no academic studies, no eulogies from gullible literary editors.


3. ECCENTRIC: विलक्षण
Meaning:(of a person or their behaviour) unconventional and slightly strange.
Synonyms:strange, unusual
Antonyms:usual, same
Example:She was an elderly eccentric woman who lived with 25 cats.


4. INHABITANT:  निवासी
Meaning: a person or animal that lives in a particular place
Synonyms:residents, occupants
Antonyms:refugees, migrants
Example:The Aborigines are the native inhabitants of Australia.


5. PENETRATE: बेधना
Meaning:to move into or through something
Synonyms:drill, access
Antonyms:retreat, yield
Example:The drill isn’t sharp enough to penetrate into the rock


6. RETREAT: पीछे हटना
Meaning:To go away from a place or person in order to escape.
Synonyms:yield, surrender
Antonyms:invade, access
Example:Fire fighters had to retreat from the fierce heat.


7. MOCKED: हँसी उड़ाना
Meaning:to laugh at someone, often by copying them in a funny but unkind way
Synonyms:insult, scorn

8. GAZING: एकटक देखना
Meaning:to look at something or someone for a long time, especially in surprise or admiration or thinking about something for long.

9. AMIABLE: सौम्य
Meaning:pleasant and friendly
Synonyms:amicable, cheerful
Antonyms:aloof, bad
Example:He seemed an amiable young man.


10. PROBITY: 
Meaning: showing honesty
Synonyms:honest,rightness
Antonyms:dishonest, evil
Example:Her probity and integrity are beyond question.
