ESIC SSO Mains Syllabus 2023

The main exam is the important phase of the ESC SSO 2023 Exam. The Mains Examination of the ESIC SSO exam 2023 consists of 4 sections: Reasoning Ability, Quantitative Aptitude, English Language, & Genera/Economy/Financial/Insurance Awareness.

Computer Skill Test and Descriptive test

(a) Computer Skill Test (CST) – 50 Marks (30 Minutes Duration) comprising of following three parts: –
(i) Preparation of 02 PowerPoints Slides – 10 Marks
(ii) Typing matter on MS Word with formatting – 20 Marks
(iii) Preparation of Table on MS Excel with use of formulae – 20 Marks

ESIC SSO Exam Pattern 2023

There is separate sectional timing for each section in the preliminary examination of ESIC SSO. ESIC SSO 2023 Exam will be conducted in three phases: Preliminary Exam, Mains Exam, and Computer Skill Test/Descriptive Test.

There are three sections on which a candidate needs a complete command to ace ESIC SSO 2023 Preliminary Exam are:

When a candidate clears the Preliminary Exam, he/she must start preparing for the Mains Exam. The Mains Examination of the ESIC SSO exam 2023 consists of 4 sections which are mentioned below:

ESIC SSO Exam Pattern 2023: Prelims & Mains Exam Pattern

The ESIC SSO preliminary examination will be conducted online. The details on the ESIC SSO Exam pattern are given here.

1. The candidates are allocated a total duration of 1 hour to complete the preliminary exam.
2. It consists of 3 sections with a total of 100 questions and a maximum score of 100 marks.
3. There is a negative marking in ESIC SSO preliminary exam and 0.25 marks are deducted for each wrong answer attempted by a candidate.
4. Minimum Qualifying Marks is distributed category-wise i.e General Category (45%), OBC & EWS Category (40%), ST, SC & Ex-servicemen (35%), PWD Category (30%). It is necessary to clear the cut-off in all 3 sections to qualify for the ESIC SSO Main exam.

Mains Examination:

1. The overall time allotted for ESIC SSO 2023 Mains Objective Exam has also been changed to 2 hours.
2. There are 4 sections in the main exam with a total of 150 Questions and a maximum score of 200 marks.
3. Minimum Qualifying Marks are General Category (45%), OBC & EWS Category (40%), ST, SC & Ex-servicemen (35%), PWD Category (30%). There is a negative marking in ESIC SSO preliminary exam and 0.25 marks are deducted for each wrong answer attempted by a candidate.
