The candidate must possess the requisite educational qualification as on 26.10.2016.
Degrees obtained from the recognised Universities or Institutes recognised by the
Govt. of India only will be considered.
Candidates who are awaiting their results of the qualifying examination OR who have not passed the qualifying examination on or before 26.10.2016 are not eligible.
☛ What is the application Fee?
Rs. 100/- for SC/ST/PWD candidates.
Rs. 600 /- for all others
☛ When will the registration start?
Registration will start from 5.10.2016 and will end on 26.10.2016
☛ I have scored 55% in Graduation. Am I eligible to sit for the exam?
Yes, you can apply as there is no percentage criterion. You just need to be a graduate.
☛ I am 19 years old. Can I sit for the exam?
No, You must be at least 20 years of age to apply for the posts of Probationary Officer.
☛ How to calculate the Percentage?
The percentage marks shall be arrived at by dividing the marks obtained by the candidate in all the subjects in all semester(s)/year(s) by aggregate maximum marks in all the subjects irrespective of honours / optional / additional optional subject, if any. This will be applicable for those Universities also where Class / Grade is decided on basis of Honours marks only.
The fraction of percentage so arrived will be ignored i.e. 59.99% will be treated as less than 60% and 54.99% will be treated as less than 55%
☛ What is the cut-off for being recruited?
There is no fixed cut-off. It depends on the performance of the candidates. Each candidate will be required to obtain a minimum score in each test of Online Examination and also a minimum total score to be considered to be shortlisted for interview.
☛ Is there a criterion for negative marking?
There is negative marking of ¼ marks for every wrong answer.
