Teachers day is celebrated to appreciate, honor and to recognize the work of the teachers. Teachers day is celebrated on 5th September as a token of love for all the teachers who are working selflessly for the growth of the children. When Radhakrishnan became the president in the year 1962, many students requested him to celebrate his birthday with love and he replied, he will be honored to receive such happiness as a tribute to all the teachers across the country and now the day is celebrated as Teachers day.
