How-To-Prepare-For-RRB-PO-2017

Dear students, now that the time has come for the expected notification of IBPS RRB to be out anytime soon, you need to gear up your preparations. Here are a few tips on how you can start preparing for the exam.

First, keep yourself updated with the pattern as well as new changes introduced in the pattern of examination.

IBPS introduced prelims examination last year for RRB PO and only two sections were asked in the exam, Numerical Ability and Reasoning Ability.
One cannot expect the same pattern this year too as the pattern of all the banking examinations has changed dramatically this year.
The difficulty level of the IBPS RRB examination has never been too high, but this year, as new changes have already been introduced and the difficulty level of all other bank examinations has only raised, you can expect difficult questions in prelims as well as mains examination too.
IBPS releases state-wise cut-off for RRB PO. Last year’s cut off was comparatively high, possibly the highest in 2016, as the questions asked were of easy to moderate level.
The two language subjects are English and Hindi Language. If we talk about last year, candidates who opted for English Language scored more marks in the language section as compared to those who opted for Hindi Language as Hindi Language test was comparatively difficult. But it’s only up to you. If you think you can do better in Hindi Language then go for Hindi Language only.
Second, make sure not to leave any important topic untouched or any concept unclear.

If your concepts on any topic are not clear, you can watch free Youtube videos and be on the ball to face IBPS RRB PO 2017.
There are many E-books and Study Notes available on various topics.
Video Courses too are available for those who cannot join Classroom Programs but wanted to.
You can also apply for IBPS Coaching Classes if you think your concepts are not that clear and you are not even able to clear them out on your own.
Third, prepare a study plan.
College going students, working professionals, first-time attempters will all have problems related to time. Organize your peak study time to coincide with the times of day when you are most awake and alert.
A study plan assists you in completing the target syllabus on time.
The aspirant is bound to give a certain amount of time to a particular subject or topic that are generally ignored when an aspirant prepares without a plan or timetable.
As you are not left with much of time for your preparations, you need to dedicate most of your everyday hours to your studies only.
Regular studies reduce the level of stress, as the number of topics to be done does not accumulate into blizzards, hence provide the aspirant with a better physical and mental health.
Do keep revising the topics. If you do not revise the topics that you studied months back, you end up remembering nothing.
Fourth, keep practicing with test series.
Practicing with Test Series helps you ace the original tests/examinations.
You can identify what topics you are good at and where you lack.
Computer based Test Series for IBPS RRB PO also help you save your time as they simulate the real tests and let you know you how to attempt the questions in a way that you are able to attempt the maximum number of questions within the given time limit.
It also gives you an All India Rank so as you can assess where you stand and how much more you need to work.
Adda247 test series encompass a range of questions that match the level of frequently asked questions, previous year questions, and new pattern questions for RRB Prelims as well as Mains Examination.
Fifth, read a newspaper on a daily basis.
It helps you know what is happening around the world.
Unless you keep yourself abreast of these changes you cannot adjust yourself to them or tackle the GA section of IBPS RRB PO Exam 2017 easily.
Try to read Business or Economy based newspapers more as most of the questions asked in GA Section are from this section only.
Reading newspapers also helps you perform well at Personal Interview round as most of the questions asked are based on current affairs only.
Your vocabulary and English skills can also be improved if you maintain reading newspapers on a regular basis.
Avoid focusing on the news that is unimportant from the point of examination.
If you do not have enough of time to go through the whole newspaper, we provide you with an alternative that is our “Daily GK Update” (Available in both Hindi and English languages) that contains only the news that is important from the point of view of competitive examinations.
Sixth, prepare for mains examinations.
Mains examination is much more difficult as compared to prelims examination.
Always remember that the gap between prelims and mains examination isn’t sufficient enough to finish the syllabus of Mains Examination.
If you do not prepare for mains examination from the very beginning, you will not be able to finish all of your preparations within the limited period of time that you get after qualifying for prelims examination.
If you prepare for the mains examination from the start, you will not only perform well at mains examination but will easily crack the Prelims Examination too (as it will be easier).
