LIC AAO Negative Marking and Scoring Pattern

The Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) is gearing up to conduct the AAO & AE 2025 Examination, offering candidates a chance to join one of India’s most prestigious organizations. With 841 vacancies this year, it is a key opportunity for aspirants seeking a rewarding career in insurance and administration.

Objective-type multiple-choice questions divided into Reasoning Ability, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Language, each separately timed. The exam is bilingual (English & Hindi) except for the English section. Total exam duration is 60 minutes, though candidates should plan for around 120 minutes at the venue for login and verification.

• Answer Submission: Candidates must select the correct answer from five options, and submissions are final unless changed within the allotted time.
• Negative Marking: 0.25 marks will be deducted for wrong answers only for Specialist and Legal posts; Generalist posts have no negative marking.
• Qualifying Marks & Cut-offs: LIC will set minimum qualifying marks for each section and overall cut-offs.
• Score Normalization: Scores from different shifts will be normalized to ensure fairness; final scores are reported up to two decimal places.
• English Section: This section is qualifying only, and its marks are not counted in the ranking.
