National Cancer Awareness Day 2021: Today on 7 November 2021 we observe National Cancer awareness day to increase awareness about cancer prevention and early detection of this hazardous disease. What this day we also remember the noble prize-winning scientist Madam Curie and celebrate her fourth anniversary. She was an eminent scientist whose work led the scientists to the discovery of radiotherapy and nuclear energy in curing cancer.

We celebrate national Cancer awareness day every year on 7th November to commemorate and pay tribute to the birth anniversary of famous scientist Madame Curie. She was an eminent scientist who was known for her huge battle against cancer. She is also remembered because she discovered radium and polonium. She is a major character did the scientist could fight cancer with nuclear energy and radiotherapy. On 7 November 2014, Union Minister for Health & Family Welfare Dr. Harsh Vardhan announced that seventh November will be celebrated as national Cancer awareness day every year to highlight the contributions of an eminent scientist who is important and a role model for all those who are fighting cancer.
National Cancer Awareness Day 2021 Significance
In India, nearly 1.1 million new cases of cancers are detected annually. Around two-thirds of all cancer cases have patients who merely survive. The national Cancer awareness day is every day celebrated to spread awareness about this chronic disease and steps in which patients can cure it along with several methods in which it can be detected.
