= .66 × 4850 = 3201 Number of women and children from H = .52 × 5200 = 2704 Total people from I and J = 6020+4900 = 10920 Required ratio = (3201+2704)/10920 = 1181/2184
Q4. If number of men, women and children who are working are in the ratio 5: 3: 2 from locality I and number of women who are working from locality I is 903 then what percentage of people from I are not working?
= 903/3×10
= 3010
Required percentage = (6020-3010)/6020×100

Q5. If 1100/17% of men form locality G are added to locality F then what will be the percentage of women in locality F (approximately).
Q6. A bus reached at the destination without stoppage at a average speed of 50 km/hr and when the bus is stopped at each bus station then the average speed of the bus is 45 km/hr. find for how much time in an hour the bus stopped ?
The distance covered in 1 hour with stoppage = 45 km
Time taken by bus =45/50×60 (in minutes)
= 54 minutes
Required time = 60 – 54 = 6 minute
Q7. Prabhat and Shivam entered into a business with the investment in the ratio of 3:2. Prabhat has majority in the share so he gets 10 % of the total profit and both of them donate 4% of the total profit in charity. Find the difference between share of profit of Prabhat and Shivam if the profit at the end of year is Rs 68000.
Amount obtained by Prabhat as a majority in share =68000×10/100= Rs 68000
Remaining profitable amount = 68000 – (6800 + 2720) = Rs 58480
Share of Prabhat = 58480×3/5=Rs 35088
Share of Shivam =58480×2/5=Rs 23392
Total share of Prabhat = 35088 + 6800 = Rs 41888
Required difference = 41888 – 23392
=Rs 18496

Q9. 18 men, 15 women and 12 boys were completed a certain work in some days. They started working together and each (i.e. one man, woman and child) completed some part of the work in 1st day in the ratio of 2 : 3 : 1. On the 2nd day 3 men and 2 boys left the work and on the 3rd day, 4 women and 8 boys left the work but the work got finished on the 3rd day. Then find the work which is done by them on the 2nd day. If the total work is completed by 27 men 45 days?
Ist day work = 18 × 2x + 15 × 3x + 12 × x
= 36x + 45x + 12x = 93x
IInd day work = 15 × 2x + 15 × 3x + 10 × x
= 30x + 45x + 10x = 85x
IIIrd day work = 15 × 2x + 11 × 3x + 2 × x
= 30x + 33x + 2x = 65x
Total work = 65x + 85x + 93x
1215 = 243x
x = 5
IInd day work = 85x = 85 × 5 = 425
