RRB NTPC Exam Pattern 2025

The RRB NTPC CBT 1 Exam Pattern 2025 consists of a total of 100 questions, carrying a maximum of 100 marks, to be completed within a time duration of 90 minutes. The exam is divided into three sections: Mathematics, which includes 30 questions for 30 marks, General Intelligence & Reasoning, with 30 questions for 30 marks, and General Awareness, which contains 40 questions for 40 marks. In total, candidates will need to answer 100 questions for a total of 100 marks, all within the allotted time of 90 minutes.

RRB NTPC Exam Schedule

The CBT 1 examination is expected to be conducted in multiple shifts owing to the high number of applicants. Each day will comprise three distinct shifts across various exam centres. The first shift is slated to run from 8:00 am to 10:30 am, and candidates must report by 7:30 am. The second shift is scheduled between 12:45 pm and 2:15 pm, with a reporting time of 12:15 am. The third and final shift of the day will take place from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm, with candidates required to report by 3:00 pm.

RRB NTPC Exam Passing Marks

To qualify in the CBT 1 exam, a minimum limit of marks has been set for candidates of different categories. It is mandatory for general and economically weaker section (EWS) candidates to score at least 40% marks, while for OBC (non-creamy layer) and SC category candidates, this limit is 30%. At the same time, the minimum limit for ST category candidates has been fixed at 25%. Based on the results of CBT 1, the selected candidates will be called for CBT 2, and their number can be up to 15 times the total number of posts.
