SBI PO Prelims Exam Date 2026 Out, Starts on 1 August, Check Official Notice

The State Bank of India (SBI) has announced the SBI PO Exam Dates 2026 for 1,500 Probationary Officer (PO) vacancies on 22 July 2026. Candidates who have successfully completed the online application process can now view the complete exam schedule for the prelims exam. As per the official schedule, the SBI PO Prelims Exam 2026 will be conducted on 1st and 2nd August 2026.

SBI has released the SBI PO Prelims Admit Card 2026. Candidates can download their call letter using Registration Number/Roll Number and Password/DOB at sbi.bank.in/careers.

SBI PO Prelims Exam Pattern 2026

The Preliminary Examination consists of three sections.

• Mode of Examination: Online
• Duration: 60 Minutes
• Negative Marking: 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer
• Medium of Exam: English and Hindi (except English Language)

English Language: 40 Questions – 40 Marks

Quantitative Aptitude: 30 Questions – 30 Marks

Reasoning Ability: 30 Questions – 30 Marks

Total: 100 Questions – 100 Marks

SBI PO Selection Process 2026

The SBI PO Recruitment 2026 consists of three stages.

• Phase I – Prelims Exam: The SBI PO Prelims exam is qualifying in nature. Candidates shortlisted in this stage will appear for the Mains Exam.
• Phase II – Mains Exam: The Mains Exam consists of an Objective Test and a Descriptive Test. Marks obtained in this phase are considered while preparing the final merit list.
• Phase III – Psychometric Test, Group Exercise & Interview: Candidates qualifying the Mains Exam will appear for the Psychometric Test, Group Exercise, and Personal Interview. The final merit list will be prepared based on the normalized marks obtained in the Main Examination and Phase III.
