Success never comes overnight, especially when you decide to take a foreign path that you have never seen before. It often takes dedication, determination, and practice, which comes from building up your roots from scratch. This is one such inspiring journey of an aspirant who decided to leave her judicial journey and step in, finally achieving her dreams to become a banker.
Success Story: Amisha Chauhan’s Journey to IBPS PO Selection
Coming from a ‘law background,’ banking was never the obvious choice of mine. I was a judicial student who was preparing with a completely different trajectory in mind. But somewhere along the way while I was preparing, I realized that I wanted a career that could provide me both stability and growth. And that’s when banking entered my life.
Preparing for IBPS PO wasn’t easy for her. The main question arose: “Would I be able to make it?” Because this meant starting everything from scratch. Be it quant formulas or be it time management, everything was new for me. Everything came with the most dangerous enemy in any competitive exam, which was self doubt. I found myself in a loophole of questions, which was, “Would I be able to make it?” Or “Am I late in preparing as compared to others?” or “Why aren’t my mocks going well?”
But then I decided that I wouldn’t let my background decide my future.
I chased one mantra, and that was consistency over perfection. I started analyzing my mistakes, improving section by section, and started to trust the process along with my fixed routine. One thing that I realized was the backbone of any preparation was learning from the mistakes. My entire journey taught me resilience, patience, and confidence, which no textbook could have ever taught me.
My dedication and resilience finally paid off.
Today, clearing the IBPS PO feels surreal and deeply satisfying to me. My sheer dedication helped to crack the exam in my first attempt, and I also silently proved that career shifts are possible if done correctly and done with the right mentors.
Here when Adda 247 walks in. I want to mention a special thanks to the free mocks and quizzes, which helped me immensely with practice and confidence throughout my journey. My journey could be an inspiration to all the aspirants who think they can’t make it because they have different streams. You all can do it, but it takes your consistent efforts and pure hard work.
