Hi friends,

I am writing my story mainly for those aspirants who are not from Engineering background. Because even some months ago whenever I used to come across a success story , in 99 percent scenario it was compulsorily an engineer, and I just thought that – “ Are yaar, Yeh bhi engineer … Mera kya hoga !!!”.

Now… My story goes like this…
After completing my 12th, though I was from science background, I opted English Literature( Honours) for two reasons – I loved English & thought that it will help me in job preparation. After that I completed graduation in 2015 and like many other thousand aspirants took admission in one of the leading coaching institute of West Bengal. This was the biggest mistake of my life. Though at the time of admission they told me that they will provide me coaching for everything, but after 6 months I discovered that I was not prepared for any exam and the institute was just focusing on WBCS. I lost about 6 months and IBPS Clerk too by a margin of 00.25 marks. Following this, I understood that coaching centre is useless and started preparation on my own. In this process some of my teachers personally helped me a lot and a great role was also played by Career Power Online Test Series. Now I will focus on individual subjects.

Math – As I was from Arts Background and even during HS my main subject was Biology, not Math. So, I started preparing from Basics. After clearing my basics, some books of CAT helped me a lot. And, there was also online test. I used to solve Math minimum for 3 hours a day.

Reasoning – This subject took a lot of time to expertise. I just solved puzzles, sitting arrangements etc from everywhere – Internet, Bankersadda quizes, Books etc. Because without intense practice you cannot reduce your time in reasoning. I gave this subject around 2 hours per day.

English – I was good in this subject. And it surrendered to me without any effort.

GK –  Bankersadda helped me a lot in this. Before exam I just thoroughly memorized the entire SBI CLERK CAPSULE. Besides this, I also made topic wise notes of GK on daily basis.
I prepared myself  for about 1 year 5 months and also I have written a lot of exams during this period.

IBPS Clerk 2015 – Cleared Prelims but Out in Mains by 00.25 marks.
Railway NTPC – Awaiting Result.
ESIC UDC – Awaiting Result.
CHSL 2015 – Cleared Mains , waiting for Descriptive result.
WBSSC LDC – Cleared written.
WBSSC Upper Primary – Cleared Written.
SBI PO 2016 – Selected.
SBI Clerk 2016 –  Selected.

And for my success I would like to thank my parents, Career Power and my teachers, specially Raja Bhattacharya Sir a lot. Though success is hard to achieve but with determination and hard work anybody can achieve his/her desired goal. Just remember  “Success is a journey, not a destination. The doing is often more important than the outcome.”. So, don’t neglect your career and give your best to achieve success. Best wishes for you exams.
Thank You……
Bikash Roy…
