General knowledge and current affairs compositely have 30 questions of 40 marks, the time allotted will be 20 minutes. You must be quick and sharp with this section. Data analysis and interpretation is the next section which again will have 30 questions and that too round offs to 90 marks and time that is to be allotted is 40 minutes. The syllabus will include Number System, Number Theory Decimals and Fractions, Simplification, Ratio and Proportions, Profit and Loss, mensuration, Average, Mixture and Allegation, Problems on Ages, Time & Distance/Work, S.I. and C.I, partnership, and Profit & Loss plus the main topic of Data Interpretation.

Insurance and financial market awareness, as the exam is of LIC so this section is of great importance. It also has 30 questions and 60 marks are allotted to the questions with 20 minutes time window.


English language- Descriptive Writing is an additional section in which you will have to write an essay and a letter of 25 marks in 30 minutes. It will be of qualifying nature and the marks for this subject will not add up for ranking.

So, the total number of questions is 120 of 300 marks in 120 minutes.

  • After getting a hang of syllabus questions and time allotment, important is that you divide all your remaining days according to the subjects. Never neglect the subject you have a sore eye for, instead revise all the subjects frequently so that you can be in touch with all your plus points and negative points. 
  • Make a timetable according to your brains processing pattern. Take short breaks, eat good food. Analyze your improvement by giving mocks daily. Make that a habit till mains.
