How to Choose the Right State for BOB LBO 2026?

Since candidates can apply for only one state, choosing the right state is an important decision in the BOB LBO application process. Candidates should consider the following factors before selecting their preferred state:

  • Check the vacancy: Prefer states with a higher number of vacancies, as they offer more available positions. Gujarat has the highest vacancies with 1,185 posts, followed by Karnataka with 418 vacancies.
  • Verify local language proficiency: Candidates must be proficient in reading, writing, speaking and understanding the required local language of the selected state.
  • Check your language certificate: Candidates who studied the required local language at the 10th or 12th level may be exempted from the LPT, subject to the Bank’s conditions.
  • Consider the state-wise competition: A higher vacancy count does not necessarily mean lower competition, so candidates should not select a state based only on vacancies.
  • Choose carefully: Since only one state can be selected, candidates should ensure that they meet all eligibility and language requirements before submitting the application.

BOB LBO Local Language Proficiency Test 2026

The Local Language Proficiency Test (LPT) is an important part of the BOB LBO selection process. Candidates must fulfil the local language requirement of the state for which they apply.

  • Who needs to appear for LPT? Shortlisted candidates may have to appear for the LPT to demonstrate proficiency in the required local language.
  • Who can get an exemption? Candidates who provide valid proof of having studied the required local language at the 10th or 12th level may be exempted from the LPT, subject to the Bank’s prescribed conditions.
  • When is LPT conducted? It is conducted for shortlisted candidates as part of the selection process after the online examination.
  • Why is state selection important? Candidates can apply for only one state, so they should check the required local language and their eligibility for it before submitting the application.
  • What if the candidate does not meet the language requirement? Candidates should ensure that they fulfil the prescribed local language criteria for their selected state, as language proficiency is an important eligibility condition.

Last 10 Days Strategy To Crack SBI Clerk Prelims Exam 2026

The SBI Clerk Prelims Exam 2026 for regular vacancies is scheduled for September 26, September 27, and October 3, 2026. With only 10 days left, the focus should now shift from learning everything to revision, mock-test practice, speed improvement, accuracy, and exam-day execution. SBI Clerk Prelims consists of English Language, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning Ability, with 100 questions for 100 marks and 1 hour of separate sectional timing.

Last 10 Days Strategy To Crack SBI Clerk Prelims Exam 2026

The last 10 days can make a meaningful difference if your preparation is organised around your existing strengths and weaknesses. At this stage, spending several hours learning completely new topics may not be as useful as revising frequently asked concepts and solving questions under timed conditions. Your goal should be to enter the examination with a clear attempt strategy, familiar question types, and control over unnecessary mistakes. The following 10-day SBI Clerk strategy can help you structure the final phase of preparation.

Last 10 Days SBI Clerk Prelims Strategy

The final 10 days should be divided into three broad phases:

Phase Days Main Focus
Phase 1 Day 1–3 Revision + Topic-wise practice
Phase 2 Day 4–7 Full-length mocks + Analysis
Phase 3 Day 8–10 Final revision + Exam strategy

SBI Clerk Prelims 2026: 10-Day Strategy

Start the final 10-day period by taking one full-length SBI Clerk Prelims mock test in the actual examination format. Follow the 20-minute sectional timings strictly and do not pause the test to check solutions.

Day Focus Area What to Do
Day 1 Mock Test Take 1 full mock and analyse mistakes
Day 2 Quantitative Aptitude

Day 3 Reasoning
Revise Inequality, Syllogism, Series, Coding & Puzzles

Section-Wise Focus for SBI Prelims

Quantitative Aptitude

Focus on Simplification, Approximation, Number Series, Quadratic Equations, DI and important Arithmetic topics. Practise calculations regularly and avoid spending too much time on a single question.

Reasoning Ability

Prioritise Inequality, Syllogism, Coding-Decoding, Alphanumeric Series, Blood Relations, Direction Sense, Puzzles and Seating Arrangement. Practise question selection so that lengthy puzzles do not consume excessive time.

English Language

Revise Reading Comprehension, Cloze Test, Error Detection, Fillers, Sentence Improvement, Para Jumbles and Vocabulary. Focus on accuracy and practise questions under a timer.

Mock Test Strategy

Do not take mocks just to increase the number of tests attempted. After every mock, check attempts, accuracy, incorrect answers, skipped questions and time spent on lengthy questions. Use this simple cycle:

Mock Test → Analyse Mistakes → Practise Weak Areas → Take Another Mock

What Should You Not Do in the Last 10 Days?

Avoid these common mistakes during the final phase:

1. Starting Too Many New Topics: You do not need to complete every topic available in the syllabus during the final days.

2. Taking Mocks Without Analysis: A mock is useful only when you understand your mistakes and improve your approach.

3. Ignoring Accuracy: More attempts are not automatically better if they result in a large number of incorrect answers.

4. Changing Your Strategy Every Day: Test your approach in mocks and settle on a sequence that works for you.

5. Studying Till Exhaustion: Long study hours with low concentration may be less useful than shorter, focused sessions.

6. Ignoring Sleep: The final day should prepare your mind and routine for the examination rather than leave you exhausted.

SBI Clerk Prelims Exam Day Strategy

On the examination day, do not try to change everything you have practised during the previous 10 days. Enter the exam with a pre-decided section-wise approach and modify it only if the paper demands it.

Read every question carefully before answering. If a question looks significantly more time-consuming than expected, move ahead rather than allowing one question to affect several others.
