SBI Clerk Vacancy 2025
Candidates can apply for Total Vacancies 5583 = 5180 (Regular Vacancies) + 403 (Backlog Vacancies) in only one State/UT. It is important to note that there is no provision for Inter-Circle or Inter-State transfers for Junior Associates selected through this recruitment. SBI Clerk Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for the SBI Clerk Recruitment 2025 must fulfil the eligibility criteria set by the bank. These eligibility criteria are in terms of the educational qualification and age limit.
Note: Candidates who are in the final year or final semester of their graduation can also apply. However, if they are provisionally selected, they must submit proof of passing their graduation exam on or before 31st December 2025.

Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification approved by the Central Government.

SBI Clerk Selection Process
The SBI Clerk Recruitment 2025 selection process is conducted in two main stages: Preliminary Examination and Main Examination. Both stages are online and objective in nature. Candidates who qualify the prelims will be shortlisted for the mains. Final selection will be made based on performance in the mains exam, subject to qualifying the Language Proficiency Test (LPT), wherever applicable. There is no interview round for the clerical post, making the written exams crucial for selection.

Phase I: Preliminary Exam
Objective-type test will be conducted for 100 marks.
Total duration: 60 minutes.

- English Language: 30 questions, 30 marks (20 minutes)

Phase III: Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT)
Candidates who are provisionally selected but have not studied the specified local language of the state they have applied for in Class 10th or 12th will be required to appear for the Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT).

- This test ensures that the candidate is proficient in reading, writing, and speaking the local language of the respective state/UT.
- Only those who fail to provide evidence of having studied the local language in 10th or 12th standard will be called for the LLPT.
- Candidates who fail the LLPT will be disqualified, and their candidature will be cancelled.
SBI Clerk Salary and Pay Scale
The starting basic pay is ₹26,730/- (₹24,050 + two advance increments for graduates). The pay scale structure is as follows:

At metro cities like Mumbai, the total starting salary, including allowances (DA, HRA, TA, etc.), is approximately ₹46,000 per month. The allowances may vary depending on the place of posting.
