RTI Reveals Over 1,650 SBI Clerks and Officers Resigned in FY 2025-26

A recent Right to Information (RTI) response has revealed that more than 1,650 employees resigned from the State Bank of India (SBI) during the financial year 2025-26. The data includes resignations across clerical and officer cadres, highlighting a significant level of employee attrition within India’s largest public sector bank.

According to the information furnished by the Central Public Information Officer (CPIO), a total of 1,655 employees, including clerical staff and officers from Scale I to Scale IV, resigned from SBI during FY 2025-26.

The number of resignations gradually declines at higher officer levels:

• Scale II: 125 resignations
• Scale III: 70 resignations
• Scale IV: 22 resignations
