Bankers Adda Success Story

I am from Lucknow. After 12th all my friends were into engineering but I opted for B.sc as I wanted to prepare for Govt job.
Well, the reason for this was a little complicated. I was an average student getting into an average engineering college, it would not be given me a satisfactory job so I opted for B.Sc. Hence I started preparing for the banking sector.

Here are my track records.
IBPS PO 2016- out in prelims
IBPS Clerk 2016- out in mains
Bank of Maharashtra – missed written by a close margin.

Amid this journey, I was under immense pressure. Friends and cousins getting placed, family keep asking about results, her family considering marriage proposals. At times I broke down, everything was drifting apart right in front of me. And then the wonder happened. Got my final selection in IBPS PO 2017 and got the Central bank of India.  It was a dream come true.
This exam was my last chance or it would have been too late. For me, it was a Six on the last ball.

Now some tips and Suggestions, and personal experience:
For General awareness B.A monthly capsule and Special Gk capsule is enough. The end nothing else.

Reasoning – 3 things are necessary-practice, practice and practice. That’s it. Understand the concept and just keep on giving the online mock test.

Now comes the most difficult section which actually isn’t difficult:
Quantitative aptitude-  you just have to work smart in this section. I was weak in maths and in fact, I still am. All you have to do is to be selective. Just analyze yourself, leave the topics you are not able to solve even after practicing. You won’t have to solve all questions, 25 out of 35 in pre and a similar ratio in Mains is a decent score if you are doing well in other sections.

English – I never learned any grammatical rule, I use to watch English tv series which somehow helped me a lot in scoring good marks.

This way I managed to get myself a seat in Central Bank of India.

It is not a story of success, it is not a story of a miracle. It is a simple story of hard work, undying faith that my family had to me, an eternal and everlasting love that I have for my family.

“Opportunities don’t happen, you create them.”
