IBPS has already conducted the IBPS RRB Clerk Prelims exam in 5 shifts in a day on 19th and 20th September and we have observed that there have not been any major changes in the difficulty level or the types of questions being asked in different shifts. Expected Topics in IBPS RRB Clerk Prelims 2020 Exam on 26th September

Reasoning Ability Section

The level of the questions asked in the reasoning section were very easy with many students even attempting 40 out of 40 questions in this section. On an average we can say the good attempts for this section lies between 34 to 37 considering all shifts that have taken place so far. The following is the list of topics that have been asked in previous shifts held on 19th and 20th September and are expected to bee seen on 29th September as well:

Puzzles and Seating Arrangement

You can expect to face 3 or 4 sets of puzzles and seating arrangement questions of the following types:

  • Linear Seating Arrangement – single or parallel rows
  • Linear Seating Arrangement with uncertain number of people
  • Square or Circular Seating Arrangement
  • Box or Color Based Puzzle
  • Flat & Floor Based Puzzle or Month and Day Based Puzzle

Usually there are 5 questions with each set of puzzles but in few shifts there were 3 or 2 questions as well. Overall you can expect nearabout 15 to 20 questions of puzzles and seating arrangement.

Inequality and Syllogism

You can expect to face a set of 3 to 5 questions of inequality or syllogism in your shift or even both of them. The level of questions have been very easy so far and with good practice you’ll be able to attempt all of them easily. So there can be near about 5 questions if there is either inequality or syllogism in your shift or there can be 6 to 10 questions if there are both of them.

Alpha-Numeric Series

This topic with a set of 4 to 5 questions have been seen consistently in the reasoning section of almost all the shifts that took place on 19th and 20th Sept so far.

Alphabet Based and Number Based Questions

There can be 2 to 3 alphabet paring based or alphabet series based questions and you can also expect  1 or 2 question(s) based on numbers in this section.

Coding Decoding

This topic was not there in all the shifts but in some of them there were 1 to 3 questions of coding decoding.

Blood Relation and Direction Sense

In your exam you can expect to face 3 to 5 questions of blood relation or direction sense. There is a possibility that your shift may have 3 to 7 questions of both of these topics which will be a plus point as these are very scoring topics and you can easily attempt all the questions related to blood relation and direction sense.

Numerical Ability Section

The level of questions expected in the numerical ability section is also easy and with good practice you will be able to attempt 31 to 35 questions in this section with accuracy. The pattern of the topics seen in this section has been pretty consistent in the previous shifts and the following are the expecetd topics for the exam that will take place on 26th September 2020-

Data Interpretation

You can expect 2 sets of DI in your exam i.e 10 to 12 questions and the following types of DI have been seen in the previous shifts-

  • Tabular DI
  • Bar Graph
  • Line Chart

Simplification

There can be 10 to 15 questions of simplification in your exam and the more the merrier it will be!! because the level of these questions is absolutely easy and some students said that they could solve it even without using a pen and a paper. So make sure you practice enough to attempt all the questions of simplification in your exam.

Number Series

Wrong or Missing number series questions have been seen in every shift that took place on 19th and 20th September, and the level was very easy. You can practice with the memory based question paper to check the logic of the series questions that was seen in the exam’s shift-1. There can be a set of 5 or 6 questions of either wrong number series or missing number series in your exam.

Arithmetic Word Problems

This includes questios from chapters like percentage, ratio and proportion, mensuration, profit and loss, simple interest and compound interest, problem on ages, tains, boats etc. There can be a set of 10 to 15 questions of arithmetic word problems in your exam, so be prepared for it!!
