What’s New in the BOI Credit Officer Exam Pattern 2026?
The Bank of India has revised the Credit Officer Exam Pattern and Syllabus for the 2026 recruitment, making it essential for candidates to understand the latest changes before beginning their preparation. This year the online examination will consist of only two sections English Language and Professional Knowledge (Relevant to the Post).

Candidates must fulfil the prescribed nationality, age, educational qualification, and work experience requirements as of 01 June 2026.

- Subject of Nepal or Bhutan

Bank of India Credit Officer Selection Process
The recruitment process may consist of:
- Online Examination: Candidates will have to appear for an online test consisting of objective questions to evaluate their professional knowledge and other required skills.
- Personal Interview: Shortlisted candidates from the online examination will be called for a personal interview to assess their communication skills, banking knowledge, and overall suitability for the post.
- Document Verification: Candidates qualifying for the final stage must submit and verify their required documents, certificates, and eligibility proofs.
- Final Merit List: The final selection will be based on the combined performance of candidates in the online examination and interview. The online exam will carry 70% weightage, while the interview will have 30% weightage.
Note: The final merit will be prepared with 70% weightage to the Online Examination and 30% to the Interview.

- English Language is a qualifying in nature.
- Only Professional Knowledge marks are considered for merit.
- There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer.

Bank of India CO Salary 2026
Selected candidates will receive salary as per the applicable officer scale.

Apart from the basic pay, officers will also receive Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Special Allowance, Medical Benefits, Leave Travel Concession, and other admissible benefits as per Bank rules.
