The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research – Central Road Research Institute (CSIR-CRRI) has officially entered the concluding phase of its 2025 recruitment process for the posts of Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA) and Junior Stenographer. With the release of the CSIR CRRI Result 2025 on 18 June 2025, the institute has now scheduled the CSIR CRRI Typing Test 2025 and Stenography Proficiency Test Date for all shortlisted candidates. This marks a significant step toward final selection and appointment.

The CSIR CRRI Typing Test Date for the posts of Junior Secretariat Assistant and Junior Stenographer is now officially confirmed. The skill test is scheduled to begin on 2nd July 2025, with candidates reporting as per their assigned shifts. One such shift includes Shift 3 at 2:00 PM, with the exam city mentioned as Delhi & NCR. The admit cards will be available from 28th June 2025, and candidates must download them on time from the official portal. This typing/steno test is a qualifying round, and clearing it is mandatory for final selection.

CSIR CRRI Typing Test 2025 Overview

The CSIR CRRI Typing Test and Stenography Skill Test 2025 is the final qualifying stage for candidates who have cleared the written examination. This round is mandatory, and only those who pass it will be considered for the final merit list. While the test does not carry marks toward the final score, failing it will lead to disqualification from the recruitment process. All shortlisted candidates must appear as per the schedule shared in their admit cards.

CSIR CRRI Typing Test Details for JSA & Junior Stenographer

The CSIR CRRI Typing Test and Stenography Skill Test 2025 will evaluate the typing speed and accuracy of candidates for JSA and shorthand-transcription ability for Junior Stenographers. For JSA, candidates must type at a speed of 35 words per minute in English or 30 w.p.m. in Hindi within a 10-minute time limit. For stenographers, a 10-minute dictation at 80 w.p.m. is followed by transcription. Both tests are qualifying in nature and essential to proceed in the recruitment process.
