India and EAEU Sign Terms of Reference to Begin Free Trade Agreement Negotiations
- India and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) — comprising Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, and Russia — signed the Terms of Reference (ToR) in Moscow to initiate Free Trade Agreement (FTA) negotiations.
- The ToR, signed by officials from both sides, aims to boost exports, support MSMEs, and diversify market access. In 2024, India-EAEU trade reached $69 billion, a 7% increase over 2023.
- The agreement is expected to unlock untapped trade potential, attract investments, and create a long-term trade partnership.

CCPA Imposes ₹10 Lakh Penalty on Rapido for Misleading Advertisements and Unfair Trade Practices
- The Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) has imposed a ₹10 lakh penalty on Rapido, operated by Roppen Transportation Services Pvt. Ltd., for misleading advertisements and unfair trade practices related to its “AUTO IN 5 MIN OR GET ₹50” offer.
- The CCPA found the claim false and deceptive, with compensation given as Rapido coins instead of real money, and not guaranteed.
- The advertisements have been ordered to stop immediately, and Rapido must reimburse affected consumers.

Satish Golcha Appointed as New Delhi Police Commissioner
- Satish Golcha, a 1992-batch IPS officer of the AGMUT cadre, has been appointed as the new Commissioner of Police, Delhi, succeeding Shashi Bhushan Kumar Singh, who held interim charge after Sanjay Arora’s retirement.
- Golcha, who previously served as Director General (Prisons), Delhi, brings experience from roles in CBI, Delhi Police, and as DGP of Arunachal Pradesh.
