The Uttar Pradesh Government has launched Project GANGA to expand high-speed internet connectivity in rural and semi-urban areas.

The initiative seeks to strengthen digital infrastructure and bridge the digital divide in villages and semi-urban regions.
The project is expected to generate more than 1 lakh direct and indirect employment opportunities across the state.
Under the programme, 8,000–10,000 local entrepreneurs at the Nyaya Panchayat level will be developed as Digital Service Providers (DSPs).
These DSPs will provide broadband connectivity and digital services in rural areas.
The government has targeted around 50% participation of women among the digital entrepreneurs, promoting women-led entrepreneurship.
Selected DSPs will receive training, financial support, infrastructure assistance, and access to modern technology to expand internet services at the grassroots level.
