- With this amendment, Navi Mumbai Airport joins the list of designated entry points permitted for drug imports under the Drugs Rules, 1945.

- The Gross Enrolment Ratio (GER) at the Secondary Stage increased from 68.5% in 2024–25 to 71.7% in 2025–26, reflecting improved access to secondary education.
- Transition rates between different stages of schooling also showed improvement. The transition from Foundational to Preparatory Stage reached 99.2%, Preparatory to Middle Stage rose to 93.8%, and Middle to Secondary Stage increased to 88.3%.
- The number of single-teacher schools declined to 1,00,843, while zero-enrolment schools reduced significantly to 5,663, indicating better teacher deployment and school utilization.
- School infrastructure witnessed notable improvement. Schools with computer access increased to 69.9%, while those with internet connectivity rose to 67.4%, reflecting greater digital integration in education.
- Basic infrastructure also improved substantially. 95.0% of schools now have electricity, 99.5% have drinking water, 98.5% have girls’ toilets, 97.2% have boys’ toilets, and 96.9% provide handwashing facilities.
- Library facilities are now available in 90.5% of schools, while 58.2% of schools have ramps with handrails, promoting greater accessibility for children with disabilities.
- The report also highlights improved gender representation in education. Female teachers now constitute 54.9% of the teaching workforce, while girls’ enrolment increased to 48.4%, reflecting continued progress toward gender equity in school education.
