Vocabulary is an important part of English that helps you deal with all kinds of questions in objective as well as descriptive papers of various exams. In the recently concluded Banking Exams, we witnessed that a major part of the exam was based on vocabulary. Many questions were vocab based and we can expect the same in the upcoming exams. 1. GENTRIFIED=नवीनीकरण 
Meaning:to make something or someone more refined or polished
Synonyms: modernize, polish
Antonyms: break, damage
Example:The gentrified metropolitan area was filled with posh restaurants and polished museums only suitable for those of a certain income bracket.

2. VENTUROUS=साहसी
Meaning:tending to take risks or daring experiences
Synonyms: adventureous, daring
Antonyms: bore, timid, cowardly
Example:A venturous daredevil, Emily loved doing thrill-seeking activities on vacation including swimming with sharks.

3. SADIST=परपीड़क
Meaning:a person who causes or imposes bodily pain on someone or something in order to feel gratified
Synonyms: beast, animal
Antonyms: angel, humanitarian
Example:Every serial killer is a sadist since they kill for fun and feel absolutely no remorse in inflicting injury.

4. INFLAMMATORY=उत्तेजक
Meaning:arousing or intended to arouse angry or violent feelings.
Synonyms: provoking, incendiary
Antonyms: soothing, calming
Example: The men were using inflammatory language/making inflammatory remarks about the other team’s supporters.

5. PROBITY=ईमानदारी
Meaning:the quality of a person who is completely honest
Synonyms: integrity, virtue
Antonyms: dishonor, dishonesty
Example:The criminal knew he could not buy the judge who was known for his probity.

6. VICARIOUS=प्रतिनिधिक
Meaning:experienced or felt by watching, hearing about, or reading about someone else rather than by doing something yourself
Synonyms: commissioned, delegated
Antonyms: direct, primary
Example:My paralyzed uncle takes vicarious pride in his son’s running achievements.

7. INTRUDER=अतिक्रमी
Meaning:someone who enters a place or situation without permission
Synonyms: squatter, trespasser
Antonyms: member, companion
Example:The intruder broke a window to enter the house, but quickly ran away when he heard the alarm sound.

8. ASSURE=आश्वस्त करना
Meaning:to tell someone confidently that something is true, especially so that they do not worry
Synonyms: encourage, persuade
Antonyms: discourage, distress
Example:The unions assured the new owners of the workers’ loyalty to the company.

9. FACTUAL=यथार्थ
Meaning:using or consisting of facts
Synonyms: accurate, credible
Antonyms: inaccurate, invalid
Example:She gave a clear, factual account of the attack to the police.

10. RIGHTEOUS=सदाचारी
Meaning:morally correct
Synonyms: ethical, honorable
Antonyms: corrupt, dishonest
Example:Since envy is shameful, it is attractive to misrepresent one’s envy as righteous anger to others.
