1.Objective test: The objective test consists of 150 questions carrying 200 marks. There will be four sections in the Phase-2 Reasoning/ Intelligence, General/ Economy/Financial Awareness, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude. Sectional timing will be there against each section and you have to attempt the maximum number of questions in that stipulated time.
2. Descriptive Test: Once you completed the objective test, a Descriptive Paper (English Language with an emphasis on comprehension and analysis) of duration 45 minutes carrying 30 marks will appear on the computer screen. You have to write the article and letter out of the given topics. To be selected finally, one has to clear the cut off of main(objective+descriptive).
3.Penalty for the wrong answer: Penalty for every wrong answer in both preliminary and main will be deducted. One-fourth of the marks allotted against each question will be deducted as penalty for every wrong answer. So it is advisable not to mark the answer on random guessing to avoid negative marking in the exam.

Same syllabus as in Preliminary Exam. Some other topics are Logical Reasoning (Passage Inference, Statement and Assumption, Statement & Conclusion, Argument, and Cause & Effect), Classification, Analogy, Word Formation, Non-Verbal Reasoning, Matrix.
Syllabus of Preliminary Exam and Mains Exam is the same.
Data Interpretation (Bar Graph, Line Chart, Tabular, Case let, Radar/Web, Pie Chart) Inequalities (Quadratic Equations) Number Series, Approximation and Simplification Data Sufficiency Miscellaneous Arithmetic Problems (HCF and LCM, Profit and Loss, SI & CI, Problem on Ages, Work and Time, Speed Distance and Time, Probability, Mensuration, Permutation and Combination, Average, Ratio and Proportion, Partnership, Problems on Boats and Stream, Problems on Trains, Mixture and Allegation, Pipes and Cisterns).

Reading Comprehension, Cloze Test, Fillers, Sentence Errors, Vocabulary based questions, Sentence Improvement, Jumbled Paragraph, Word Usage, Phrase/Connectors, Paragraph related question (Para connectors, Para Completion, Para Restatement, Paragraph Inference, Para fillers).

This section is only in Mains Exam.
