Common Mistakes to Avoid While Checking Eligibility

While applying for the IBPS Clerk 2025 exam, many candidates make small mistakes that can lead to rejection of their application. Here are some common errors you should avoid:

  • Not Checking the Cut-off Date for Age and Qualification: Always check the date mentioned in the notification for calculating your age or educational qualification. Meeting the eligibility as of that specific date is mandatory.
  • Ignoring Language Proficiency Requirements: Applying for a state without knowing its official language can cause issues during the selection process. Make sure you can read, write, and speak the language of the state you’re applying for.
  • Incomplete or Incorrect Educational Details: Ensure that your graduation degree is from a recognised university and that you’ve entered the correct information.
  • Assuming Age Relaxation Applies Automatically: Candidates from reserved categories must provide valid certificates to claim age relaxation. Don’t assume it applies without documentation.
  • Not Fulfilling Nationality Conditions: Check if you meet the citizenship or residency requirements as clearly mentioned in the eligibility criteria.
