“If you don’t struggle you can’t taste the success.”: Babitha Madhuri (Andhra bank PO)- 166

Hello Friends,

Bankers Adda Success Story

This is Babitha Madhuri from Andhra Pradesh. Luckily I have a new designation of Andhra bank PO.
First of all, i would like to thank Bankersadda team a lot because without them I couldn’t be here. To reach this stage I struggled a lot. To all the folk’s STRUGGLE AND SUCCESS, BOTH HAVE THE SAME STARTING LETTER.IF YOU DONT STRUGGLE YOU CANT TASTE THE SUCCESS.

A brief introduction:  I completed my graduation in 2013 and went for UPSC coaching and attempted for UPSC exam in 2014( without any preparation) and in 2015( with preparation) but failed in both attempts. I came to now that I cannot climb an Everest (UPSC) in one single year or attempt. So I stopped my preparation and started preparing for NON-UPSC exams like SSC, IB, LIC etc( but not banks because inherentIy I have a feeling that banks are for the people who are extremely good in calculations and simply bank exams are very tough to crack).

I wrote LIC and SSC and appeared for SBI clerk( bcoz of my dad force but to my surprise, i cleared prelims that gave me a confidence that i can also clear bank jobs) and i wrote niacl, uiacl, rrb po, rrb clerk, ippb, ibps po, ibps clerk. at last, I cleared ibps po and the WAIT IS OVER.
I made a lot of mistakes during my preparation. So i just want to share few tips which will ease ur preparation.

Quant:  a nightmare for most of us but still with adda247 app you can easily clear it. For prelims solve ssc quizes in adda app and for mains solve banking quizzes in adda.
( why? because prelims is test of speed and just by doing mind calculations you have to solve problems but mains is a test of knowledge so you have to practice a lot of di/ missing di/number series etc. ) most of us  concentrate on only mains and they practice more di question but not approximation while going through the preparation. But in prelims exam you will get just 2 di q and the rest are of simple, approximations, profit and loss level 2 etc. So solve the simplest first and then go for the toughest so that your score is high. Keep in mind that to reach mains you have to clear prelims.

Reasoning: solve every quiz of adda. For more new type of reasoning questions you can watch reasoning videos in adda247 youtube channel.

English: Nowadays English section has taken a drastic change you have to know about the grammar basics, word usage, vocabulary etc.
So first focus on grammar basics for this you can watch ANCHAL SHARMA mam videos in adda247. Do all the ssc quizzes in adda app initially and then go for banking quizzes.
Second, for English section every topper say read THE HINDU completely. But  I would say read the Hindu editorial only.

(why? First it will save your time. second Ibps or sbi will not ask the political news which is covered in all pages (ONLY CURRENT AFFAIRS ARE IMPORTANT SO NEED TO SCAN THE PAPER). Instead, read an editorial which gives an insight into the total issue. And they are helpful for reading comprehension and vocabulary. Complete your preparation by learning synonyms and antonyms as they became the game changer. just by reading editorial and grammar basics can i clear the English section?
No, the pattern of questioning is changed. The Same question is being asked in different formats. So solve more and more quizzes to know the latest patterns( 2 from SSC and 2 from banking on a daily basis in adda app. Believe me, you will see the change.

Banking awareness: banking awareness capsule from BA and #be a banking master videos of KUSH sir from adda. This content will suffice for both mains and interview.

Computer awareness: computer capsule from BA.

Current affairs: don’t write current affairs. Yes, u heard it right. Please don’t waste ur time by writing the ca. just read the CA from Adda app and daily watchTHE CURRENT AFFAIRS SHOW AND THE HINDU QUIZ REVIEW by kush sir. If you do it on daily basis ca is a cakewalk for you. But pls do it on the daily basis.
Interview preparation: read as many interview experiences as you can from various websites this will help you to know the general academic question being asked by the interviewer. The interview is started by your graduation stream questions so if you answer them they will have a good opinion on us and Refer some imp points about your hometown, name, latest issues in your state and banking too. You can also read my interview experience in Bankersadda.

Finally I am a NON-UPSC and non-banking student but still, I could clear the ibps po. If I did it you can also do it.
Thanks to my dad and mom for their patience and love, and thanx to my bff Neha and more friends and to Bankersadda team especially Kush sir, Gopal sir, Anchal mam and to every sir and madam who helped me a lot in my preparation.

Thank you so much and all the best.
