Educational Qualification & Experience for LIC AAO/AE

1. Generalists

Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University/Institution.

2. Assistant Engineer (AE) – Civil

  • B.Tech/B.E. in Civil from an AICTE-recognized Indian University/Institution.
  • Minimum 3 years of post-qualification experience in planning & execution of multi-storied building projects with all infrastructure.

3. Assistant Engineer (AE) – Electrical

  • B.Tech/B.E. in Electrical from an AICTE-recognized Indian University/Institution.
  • Minimum 3 years of post-qualification experience in planning & execution of multi-storied building projects with all infrastructure.

4. AAO (Chartered Accountant)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline.
  • Passed Final ICAI Exam, completed Articles, and must be an Associate Member of ICAI.
  • Membership number must be provided and will be verified with ICAI.

5. AAO (Company Secretary)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline.
  • Must be a Qualified Member of ICSI.

6. AAO (Actuarial)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline.
  • Must have cleared at least 6 papers from the Institute of Actuaries of India (IAI) or the UK Institute & Faculty of Actuaries.
  • Membership number must be provided and will be verified.

7. AAO (Insurance Specialists)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline.
  • Fellowship of Insurance Institute of India (Life).
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in Life Insurance Companies regulated by IRDAI.

8. AAO (Legal)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Law from a UGC-recognized University/College with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD).
  • Must be enrolled with the Bar Council as an Advocate.
  • At least 2 years of post-enrollment experience as an Advocate or Law Officer.

LIC AAO Age Limit

Candidates applying for LIC AAO 2025 must be at least 21 years old. The maximum age limit is 30 years, while for Chartered Accountant (CA) and Legal posts, the upper age limit is 32 years.

LIC AAO Age Relaxation

Certain categories are eligible for relaxation in the upper age limit as per government rules. The details are as follows:

  • OBC: 3 years
  • SC/ST: 5 years
  • PwBD (General): 10 years
  • PwBD (OBC): 13 years
  • PwBD (SC/ST): 15 years
