LIC AAO Prelims 2019 Examination is scheduled to be held on 4th/5th of May. The three sections that will be asked in the examination are English Language, Reasoning Ability and Quantitative Aptitude. Reasoning Section is the part and parcel of this examination and carries a weight of 35 marks out the total 100 marks. Puzzles and Seating Arrangement: 

Questions on puzzles and seating arrangements form a major part of the Reasoning Section of any banking examination. They are usually based on Seating Arrangement (linear, circular, triangular, rectangular and sometimes hexagonal even), Floors, Tabular form, Blood Relations, etc. and can be asked in 2-3 variables in a preliminary level examination. Most of the miscellaneous topics too are being asked in the form of puzzles only. A mix of Seating Arrangement and Blood Relations is also being frequently asked in the examinations.

Syllogism: 

The number of expected questions on this topic is 3-5. The questions can be based on the usual old pattern as well as the new pattern of Reverse Syllogism in which the conclusion is given in the question and you have to choose correct statements for that particular conclusion. It is one of the easiest and scoring topics so, prepare it well.

Data Sufficiency:

Coding-decoding:

Blood Relation: 

The questions in this section test the candidate’s cognitive ability. The questions asked are very complex and convoluted but can be solved with ease if you have the basics of this topics all grasped. Ranking and Direction: 

The questions asked on this topic are comparatively easy and less complicated. Once you are used to solving questions on this topic, they would become easier and less time taking. You just need to practice the questions on a regular basis.

Machine Input-Output:

In the banking examinations held recently, it is observed that machine input-output is also being asked in the preliminary level examination. So, you can expect 3-4 questions on machine input-output in LIC AAO Prelims Exam.

Inequalities: 

The other important topic for LIC AAO Prelims Reasoning Section is Inequality. The number of expected questions on this particular topic is 3-5. It is one of the easiest topics in Reasoning.
