The RBI Grade B 2025 recruitment process has officially begun with 120 vacancies announced across General, DEPR, and DSIM posts. The online registration and fee payment window has opened on September 10, 2025, and will close on September 30, 2025. This year’s recruitment brings some key changes that candidates must be aware of before applying. Change 1 in RBI Grade B 2025: Revised Pay Scale and Salary Structure
One of the biggest updates in the RBI Grade B 2025 recruitment is the revised pay scale. Selected candidates will now draw a starting basic pay of ₹78,450 per month in the new pay scale of:
₹78,450-4050(9)-114,900-EB-4050(2)-123,000-4650(4)-141,600 (16 years).
At present, the initial monthly gross emoluments (without HRA) stand at approximately ₹1,50,374, making the RBI Grade B post one of the most lucrative roles in the banking sector. This pay revision has significantly increased the attractiveness of the position, offering both financial security and career prestige. Along with the basic pay, officers will also receive multiple allowances, including:
- Special Allowance
- Grade Allowance
- Dearness Allowance
- Local Compensatory Allowance
- Special Grade Allowance
- Learning Allowance
- House Rent Allowance (HRA) – 15% of pay if accommodation is not provided by the Bank
Change 2 in RBI Grade B: Introduction of an ‘Edit Window’ for Application Form
Another major change in the RBI Grade B 2025 recruitment is the introduction of an Edit Window. After the closing date for online applications, candidates will be provided with a 2-day window to correct or modify details in their submitted application form.
Once corrections are made, applicants can resubmit their forms after paying the necessary fee. However, no further changes will be allowed after this period, and requests for modifications will not be entertained under any circumstances. This new feature provides candidates with a much-needed chance to rectify mistakes and avoid disqualification due to errors in the application. During this period, candidates can make changes in the following fields:
- Exam Centre
- Medium of Exam
- Father’s Name
- Mother’s Name
- 10th/12th Percentage
