OICL AO Eligibility Criteria

The recruitment notification specifies certain eligibility requirements that candidates must fulfil to apply for the AO posts. Educational Qualification

OICL AO positions are offered across different disciplines, each with specific educational requirements:

1. Generalists

Bachelor’s Degree/Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university

2. Hindi Officers (55% for SC/ST 60% for others)

Master’s Degree in Hindi/ Hindi Translation with English as core/ elective/ major subject at the graduation level, OR

Master’s Degree in English with Hindi as a core/ elective/ major at the graduation level, OR

Master’s Degree in any discipline with English & Hindi as core/ elective/ major at graduation level, OR

Master’s degree in both English and Hindi/ Hindi translation

Age Limit and Relaxation

Candidates must be between 21 and 30 years as of 01 December 2025. Age relaxation is provided for different categories:

SC/ST: 5 years

OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years

Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD): 10 years

Ex-Servicemen/ECOs/SSCOs: 5 years

Defence service personnel disabled during hostilities: 3 years

Widows, divorced, legally separated women: 9 years

Existing confirmed employees of Public Sector General Insurance Companies: 8 years

OICL AO Selection Procedure

The selection process consists of three phases:

Phase I: Preliminary Examination

Online Objective Test for 100 marks, consisting of multiple sections with separate timing for each.

Phase II: Main Examination

Objective Test for 200 marks and Descriptive Test for 30 marks, conducted online.

Descriptive Test requires typing answers on the computer immediately after the Objective Test.

Phase III: Interview

Candidates shortlisted from Phase II will be called for an interview, up to three times the number of vacancies for each stream.

The weightage is 80:20 for the main exam and interview.

Final Selection

Based on consolidated marks of the Objective Test (Main) and Interview.

Final merit list prepared in descending order of total marks.

OICL AO Application Fee

SC/ST, PwBD, and confirmed OICL employees: Rs. 250 + GST (Intimation charges only)

Other candidates: Rs. 1000 + GST (Application fee including Intimation charges)

OICL AO Salary

Selected candidates will receive a basic pay of Rs. 50,925 in the scale of Rs. 50,925–25,00(14)–85,925–2,710(4)–96,765 along with other admissible allowances. Total emoluments are estimated at approximately Rs. 85,000 per month in metropolitan centres. Additional benefits include:
