RT-PCR negative report is mandatory for going back to Gujarat: Current Affairs Special Series

RT-PCR negative report is mandatory for going back to Gujarat

The government of Gujarat has made it mandatory RT-PCR test to be negative for all passengers traveling to Gujarat from other states. This announcement was made by the government due to a spike in Covid-19 cases in the state.

The check-points at the airports, railway stations, and bus stops in the state are verifying the report from all passengers traveling from other states. According to the latest travel guidelines, passengers flying to Gujarat must present a negative RT-PCR report which must not older than 72 hours. Gujarat recorded more than 2400 new cases of Covid-19 during the last 24 hours. A maximum number of cases has been recorded from Ahmedabad while Surat has been recorded with more than 460 cases. Gujarat has more than 12950 cases active cases at present according to official data. Ahmedabad, the capital city for the industry has added 30 new micro containment zones in the city. 

The vaccination drive is running in full swing in the state with its best efforts and capacity. More than 4 Lakh and 54 thousand persons have been vaccinated during the last 24 hours. Total more than 60 lakh and 65 thousand persons have been vaccinated in the state till now.
